Tanjia is definitely not a breakfast meal in Morocco. It is eaten at lunch or dinner. Also this is this chef’s take on tanjia so his method is not authentic. Sure it looks tasty but it’s not the way it’s made in Morocco. A few key ingredients are also missing like saffron and Moroccan Smen. If you happen to be in Marrakesh and fancy trying this delicious dish just head to Jamaa elfna square where it’s almost always available immediately. If dinning at a restaurant however you might need to order your Tanjia before hand.
