What is interesting with french-canadian folk music, the music itself is really joyful but the lyrics otherwise are sad, dark and depressing. That's the spirit of French-Canadian, we celebrate the joy to be alive even if times are hard.

when you think about it, since every Latin European culture is have a lot of similarities to one another, then by definition, Quebec is a Latin America region, but just a part of another country. it is majority French speaking unlike other areas in North America
@bretwein37932 жыл бұрын
The hispanophones who come to Québec usually adapt and catch a very good grasp of the language after about a year. It’s much easier for them to “get” Italian due to the tone, pronunciation and other similarities. French is just a little more of a struggle but you’ll catch it quickly. I’ve had some Portuguese friends (immigrants) who came from Açores Portugal and Chileans (Antofagasta & Viña del Mar) who I didn’t not know were immigrants. They absorbed the language as if it were their mother tongue. ¡No te desilusiones hablarás francés muy bien en poco tiempo!
