What I want to say is that these kind of people most especially the dancing priest have a very special divine powers within them.. they can do and undo things. Like commanding the rain from a clear sky. Commanding the winds.. theyt like mediators between the material and the immaterial world... they help people solve problems like curing deadly diseases. Foretelling your future.. human fortification and so on.. sadly the power can also be used for evil tendencies depending on the priest

Yes. Ogun's color at home (Yorubaland) is red not green and black(US, Cuba, PR) or blue(Brasil).
@PLPS7 жыл бұрын
Asabi Fatosin some places in brazil use red too... but in candomble is live blue (of the fire), and umbanda uses red.
@MrSivram287 жыл бұрын
Asabi Fatosin This is not Yoruba its Edo. Ogun is a Benin Orisha not Yoruba. Many Benin culture has been blanketed as Yoruba and that's dishonest.
@sammieelere98547 жыл бұрын
Ogun came to Ife first as a spirit, secondly as human and ruled as one of the Oonis before he became a deity. Sango was a son of Orunmila when Orunmila was Alaafin Oyo after his brief reign in Benin where he left Eweka his son behind. When Orunmila left for Ife to become Alaafin, Sango his son from a Tapa wife rule Oyo. These are sacred facts. So it is wrong for you to render history by cornering it to your side by saying Yoruba blanketed Benin culture and that it is dishonest. We ought to put feelings of sentiments aside and ask open questions or embark on genuine research to find the missing link between the two great civilization towards harmonizing them for the good of mankind.
@MrSivram287 жыл бұрын
Stop telling lies and fables. Olokun, Sango, Ogun, Osun and many orishas blanketed as Yoruba are actually from the Edo people. These gods were taken to the Americas by enslaved Yoruba. I thank Yoruba people for spreading Benin culture to the Americas and the world.

Here in Brazil Ogun is St George sincretized and his color is blue. Nevertheless, in Umbanda which is a brazilian religion that sincretizes the Orishas, the catholic saints and the indigenous deyties (due to slavery through the Atlantic), Ogun wears green. Nice to see him and his worshipers wearing red. Ogun yee ⚔️

Green and black are diaspora colors. His color is traditionally red. If you cannot understand what they are singing in the video, then you should not comment on whose colors are whose.

Ray of Lyte well said. Ogun is who they changed to Angel Michael in English. The angel of war
@Omo2176 жыл бұрын
Ray of Lyte yes they altered everything. When I saw the deity of Yaweh. He is the same as Shango Arábámbi. Yaweh married Asherah the female river goddess like Ọya. Both Yaweh and Asherah were worshipped together at the ancient Judah temple. Oòdáyéh is what they changed to Yehooda/Yehuda or Judah in English.

Tony, have you ever heard this proverb: "When the white man came we had the land and he had the bible. He told us we should close our eyes and kneel to seek salvation, and when we rose and opened our eyes, the white man had the land and we had the bible." We were only taken advantage of when we trusted them and neglected what has carried us all for thousands of years. Ase King.
@Omo2176 жыл бұрын
stallion772 well said. The bible is written from Odù Ifá Ọ̀rúnmìlà. Talómodù in Yoruba is what they changed to Talmud in English and that is where the Bible is extracted from
