Traditional olive oil factory in Vafes from the Voloudakis family (Crete Crete). 2017 HD

A visit to the Voloudakis family in Vafes shows the local traditional olive oil factory, where the oil is cold-pressed according to old tradition. We also visit a museum in the village, where an old stone press in a replica oil mill shows you how olive oil was produced over 100 years ago.

Great video. When I lived in the village Yiannis and his sons pressed my olives. I would drive my car full of sacks of olives to their press and a few days later I would find a churn of olive oil on my wall. I never knew how it was done, so thanks!
