Ifa in Yorubaland embodies religion, science, technology, politics, culture, etc. Those who see it as a religion in Nigeria call it "Isese". Ifa is the Yoruba cultural heritage contribution to the world civilisation. It should be noted that the Yoruba people and culture (before the era of transatlantic slave trade) extended beyond the present day Nigeria. Indigenous Yoruba societies are still in existence in countries like Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Gambia, etc and Ifa is still being practiced there.

Hello Kali, I saw you on Ace's video. When you was talking about the African religion there, you may not realize it, but you proved that the Brazilian slaves are the original Hebrew Israelites in the Bible. You said Jesus name in the original Hebrew language. You are an awesome tour guide. I also subscribed to your channel. Thank you so much.

Ifa and Yoruba is derived from Vodun. As always, Vodun just get a bad rep so the disassociation from it will be expressed by some. So yes you're right Kali. It's all a part of Vodun. Big up

Vodun is so beautiful and intense ! I hope to see one day .
@BlackDynamite07 ай бұрын
The Yoruba are a people and an ethnicity defined by shared cultural practices and language. Ifa is a system of divination tied to Orunmila, one of the deities in their mythology. Vodun is a religion with origins among the Fon, Ewe and Gbe people of present day Dahomey. Could be some cross pollination between ifa and Vodun because the Yoruba were geographically close to the fon, ewe and gbe but It’s not correct to say The Yoruba are derived from Vodun.
