They are using baroque bows! Cool! We are playing this in our amateur string ensemble. A lot of stop notes, but mostly including 1 open string, so not so difficult to play.

Thank you for listening and noticing the baroque bows! They are also both baroque violins, with gut strings, etc (made in mid-18th century) : )

@@aliceblankenship.violinist Yes,watching and listening again, I can now see that you are playing without chin rests and without shoulder rests. Shorter neck and fingerboard? Gut strings: pure gut strings or metal spun gut sting? Is the E-string also gut? No fine tuner on the E - string? Tuning? Our score for Farmors Brudposka is C major (A = 442 Hz). I don’t have perfect pitch, but when I checked with my violin you seemed to be approximately a semitone lower, so you are also using the baroque tuning?
