The Six Main Principles 六大要 of Wu style taijiquan as transmitted by Hong Dihuai, disciple of Wu Jianquan:
1. 虛靈頂勁 (xuling dingjin): emptying the mind and lifting the crown of your head
2. 沉肩垂肘 (chenjian chuizhou): Sinking the shoulders and dropping the elbows
3. 含胸拔背 (hanxiong babei): tucking the chest and stretching the back
4. 氣沉丹田 (qi chen dantian): letting the qi sink to the dantian
5. 鬆腰垂臀 (songyao chuitun): relaxing the waist and lowering the buttocks
6. 左腿翹腳 (zuotui qiaojiao): sitting on a leg and raising the foot
