I have been using that stuff for years on all kinds of gear. Very durable and quiets anything you put it on. I keep the smallest pieces because I always find a use for them.

Between Stealth strips and hockey stick tape all your stuff can be completely silent 👍
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
Yep. I used ro use the hockey tape exclusively. And then I finally bought stealth strips. My only regret is I didn't buy stealth strips 10 years earlier than I did. They are all I ever use now.

Those strips look awesome. I can not see out of binos. I dont know why but I’ve never been able to. I can if I close one eye otherwise I go cross-eyed.

I have heard of people using this type of item on recurve bows on the ends using this and trimming off the excess material to keep the limbs and string slap from being so loud on faster bows as it is more durable then using the Felt, unless you used the air hockey felt that for this need is too thick and the thinner felt even durable super thin pads of felt for furniture tends to wear out really quick. In fact, some brands use the odd oops pattern parts as limb pad material that will work for anything as long as they are not too much of the white like a winter style, early season in 90% of places the white/off white dose not work then only of snow is out does white in the camo work. I used on a recurve some Triangles from some cheap fur/synthetic fur rest for the bow from a single 2 pack I never planned to use that part but intended to use the bottom part of the shoot off rest material for the side on a ASL that needed a big rest due to how wide and flat the sides are for any bow, this bow is older when not every brand radiused the sidewall or did a bigger radius on a Longbow that uses a more modern rest that is not cut to center. Nice part is the triangles on the Recurve did not need much cutting, only a little micro trim on the edges to fit.

Yep works great for ends of recurve limbs under the string

@@SamkoTradBow Very durable. I have seen the early version of this material from Stealth or what became Stealth that was used on a bow to quiet it down, the tape side was not great due to this being 2000 with fewer types of sticky backing available at the time but the other side was great that held up better then using hocky tape, the best available material at the time if not other brands of similar fleece that only would last a year. Some people I see in videos and pictures have even used the Stealth strip for a bow grip the way a Lether bow saddle is used often on an ILF bow they removed the grip on to use over the athletic/hockey tape to make a hunting style grip. From what people tell me this was before there were more options for an ILF bow and only Target and metal shoot off the shelf both with detachable grip were the only options at the time.

You had said you have all your stands stealth stripped and they are left outside. Inferencing from that, would you say adhesive stands up to the elements well?
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
Yes the adhesive is amazing.
@edgartena6062 Жыл бұрын
Does it leave a sticky residue when removed?
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
Sometimes. But that's easily removed with goo gone.

@ABA_VP’23 they hold super well and never had a stealth strip ever peel off or come loose on any thing Ive stuck them on.
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
@ABA_VP’23 I use it on my pack straps to prevent the stand from chewing my straps up. Works amazing. The abrasion resistance is on another level
@StealthOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@ABA_VP2023 Full adhesion is 24 hours once applied. Heat really seams to set them rock solid as well. So there is some forgiveness in the adhesion if you pop them off to realign during install.

never used it, but how close to mole skin medical tape might it be?
@SamkoTradBow Жыл бұрын
Completely different. Thinner and lighter than mole skin yet super sticky and toughest material I have ever seen

Love the tape, but damn is it heavy. Regret taping my sticks with it.

I just weighed a 4"x32" that will fit the old 3 step Lone Wolf at 1.6 oz, with the paper backing, 1.4 oz per 32" stick without. With all the shorter length sticks these days like the Novix 17" they are 0.8 oz with the paper removed.
