Might be the mic placement, but border pipes seem to dominate too much. I play Smallpipes in a session but I do know people complain the are a bit low in volume. Anyone have first hand experience of border pipes and how they match?

border pipes are just very loud, and tend to dominate a session, big volume difference to scottish smallpipes
