A lot of people who don't really know much about music tend to overrate the mediocre musicians and underrate the most talented ones. The more you know about music, particularly if you play a musical instrument yourself, the more discriminating you become I suppose

@@samsonwilkinson8090 I understand what he's saying though. Traffic doesn't receive the mainstream accolades of the general masses as compared to their protégés of the Era. For instance, I saw them open for the Grateful Dead in 1994 and it was hard to comprehend why on earth the Dead were not opening for them. I personally thought Traffic was more entertaining on every level.

Had the pleasure of touring US and Canada dates with Steve on the High Life tour as a crew person. He and Eugenie are the most down to Earth couple but Eugeines Nashville accent and Steve's Brit accent are hilarious in an animated conversation. Evening crew meal with them was priceless. I wish Dolette was there.

@@simonstacey8557 The other names are clearly ground-breaking and maybe one-offs in the one-man-band category, although there are some who don't even realize how much Paul contributed to The Beatles guitar sound, 6 and 4 string. Yeah, he did keys and basic drum tracks too. Winwood is equally keys and guitar, strong guitar....great lead/solo guy. I'd give Winwood the nod for stretching rock/pop into blues, jazz and combo jam band territory with new instrumentation/tempos. Low Spark, John Barleycorn.....that was seriously advanced, sophisticated music....less mainstream appeal but for music junkies....those were classic recordings....and I can't forget Dave Mason either...that guy would write, sing, and play good guitar....
