For the closed or lock ignition, it is simple. Just using the back end of the key to unlock it on the bottom part of the ignition. The back end are in a shape of hexagon so it will fit perfectly. Lucky that the friendly taiwanese guy help you out. Whenever i visit Taiwan and ride a scooter, i always let the local guys ride fast or move first from a stop. In general they know the route and terrain better compared to me. Be extra careful when riding in the rain cos you need to be extra cautious when riding over the man-hole, drainage cover near the kerb or even the road marking cos they can be quite slippery when you are turning or even applying front brake. Plus theres alot of blind spot that need to be on the lookout when riding. One good example when driver/passenger opens their door w/o checking or when you are slow cornering at a tight spot on the mountain there might be a person suddenly walking almost in the middle of the road.

Left turn from the right box is almost similar with melbourne right hook turn. Except that car and motorcycles (not just sxooters only) are allowed to position there due to tram right of way.

We wear ponchos. Fortunately in Taiwan, the rain doesn't last too long. Although sometimes if it comes down, it comes down hard.

I used mine from Canada for renting a scooter. For everyday riding a scooter I didn't get stopped by the police so can't confirm if they will ask for it.

You probably can if it's a small scooter under 50cc. In reality, they never asked to see my motorcycle license and I rented

@@Singapura.i Oh, I think I understand you now. The left turning box rule is only for smaller scooters under 250cc. So if you have a 150cc, you will still have to use the box on the right. You cannot stop at the light along the line and wait to turn left.
