Hey David ... remember those fine individuals at the Denton police department? I went to a meet and greet for five candidates for police chief last week. One of the female Denton police officers really wants the candidate from Colorado to get the job. I asked her why? She said because she was a police officer in Colorado until the state took away their qualified immunity. She stated that the only reason she moved to Texas and joined the Denton police department, was because she got her qualified immunity back. I asked her why don't you just do your job right and not worry about the qualified immunity? She stepped back, rolled her eyes and looked at me like I was from another planet.

The trooper does his best to blame the guy he’s pulled over for the tone of interaction. So many people understand that keeping the window up protects you from claims of smells coming from your car (cross draft for rolling all windows down) or the paranoia of a police officer thinking any little thing he doesn’t like or agree with is suspicious behavior and a sign of some illegal activity. The comment that he can tell him to do whatever he wants should alarm everyone that hears this. They will play games and claim that you are playing games. They tell you whatever they want (legally obligated to follow or not) and then when challenged on the things where they have legal power they will follow their judgment (usually escalating) and when they don’t they bluster, bloviate, and threaten with use of force (punish people with the process) because they suffer no repercussions. The human behavior on these videos is extraordinarily similar across the board. Bad cops are the enemy of everyone.

Without that typical trooper hat on the clown leo's head would have fit in that open window space. Plenty for him to converse with the driver. As for mic clarity it would have been just fine. The law enforcement officer's lips are moving so he's lying. Demands to lower the window aren't a lawful order. The window only needs to be lowered enough to pass documentation back and forth. All LEOS are instructed to be authoritarian, forceful and aggressive to establish absolute control. It's foolish to have a conversation with a LEO while being detained. The victim is talking too much. It's simple to say, "I'm being held against my will, under threat of deadly force, therefore I decline to have a conversation" or "I invoke my right to remain silent." All requests by LEOS should be answered with a simple "No, thank you." What the victim has done correctly is video the interaction.

Police officers have the ability to set the tone and cadence of every interaction, with any member of the public, themselves. I always, ALWAYS let the officer choose how it’s going to go. With that said, if an officer is talking with someone…a suspect, a victim or a witness, if that person tells the officer something he knows, definitively, is a lie…that’s going to have a drastic effect on the rest of the interaction. The very first thing this officer told this man, was a lie, he said “you HAVE to put the window down”. Cops are not only allowed to lie but they are encouraged to do so. You lie to a cop and it’s not going to end well for you. This little flex (lie) set the tone and cadence of the rest of the stop…and he just shucked it off when he was confronted about it later. They think we’re idiots (in most cases, they KNOW we’re ignorant by not knowing our rights). This is how a stop “done right” should go, and it only goes this way if you know your rights…this man knows his rights…learn your rights.

Cop is pissed his orders are not being folliwed and is way overdramtizing this window thing. Also way to much talking i'd ask for the ticket so to be on my way.

Wow, the rudeness and entitlement that cop displays is disgusting.

"I won't go back and change it." No, he'll go back and write a new one for lying to an officer.

Jackson is dumbfounded that someone would not believe him at his word that he can ask a citizen to do anything he says. 😆 "I'm not going to make a huge deal out of it..." while continuously making a ridiculously huge (and mind blowingly repetitive )deal out of it. I hope this video helps the trooper do some self-reflection and get unstuck from the obsession for control.
