@@snave59 If the "kid took off and run" had some reasons? Normally a passenger is left alone, unless there is a warrant out. I think you paint with a too wide brush all LEO's strange I never had problems with cops, because if I was at fault (f.e. speeding) I admitted it, Of course I do not know how your encounters with LEO's went.... *I call it: Taking responsibility for ones actions* . This was many years ago while I visited some friends in the US and I was helping some people near Norman, Oklahoma, to move some stuff in a truck to a smaller village near-by. We used one Truck similar to Ryder or U-Haul, and I was driving the Truck back alone. On the way there was a rail-road crossing, secured with *two STOP* signs and the red horizontal cross. It was about 3 O clock in the afternoon. I could see for miles to my right and to the left a shorter distance. No Train was coming, so didn't come to a complete halt, but to a rolling stop. While I crossed the rail-tracks, I saw a sheriff car parked facing my way to the right on the other side of the tracks. It was some building of some closed down company. I *KNEW* I made a mistake, not halting completely, so when I passed him. I turned into the Parking-lot, just in case. Watched in the mirror how he opened the door. I turned off the engine and opened my driver door so he could see inside the Cab. Well he came up to me we exchanged the usual pleasantries & greetings and then he asked me *what **_ONE_** Stop* sign means. *To come to a **_complete stop_*_ I replied. Then he asked me: What do _*_TWO STOP_*_ sign mean? I didn't know and said so. He gave me this advice: "One Stop Sign says you stop _*_TWO STOP Sign means you goddamn better_** stop* ! Then of course he asked me for my driver-license, but I didn't have one from Oklahoma yet, (besides from my home-country) but was in the process to get me one, and had some learning-material (a book) in the truck with me which I showed him as I explained the situation. He then told me: You pulled over on your own, as *you knew you made a mistake* , even though you don't have a valid license which I can verify, but I accept your out of state (from a European country) license, and the fact that you are studying for the Drivers-license, drive off and *goddamn better stop at two stop-signs* in the future. No ticket or fine to pay. Drove home, and that was the last time I drove one vehicle without one US driver license, because I was informed by my embassy in the US, my home country driver license was not *one which was internationally valid* . When I moved on to Texas, for the rest of the stay in the US, and to be safe 3 weeks later got me one DL in Houston, (after studying their material) still have it to this day. Expired though of course...

I got pulled over by Davenport for going 81 in a 50 lol. I sure learned me lesson after hearing that cops aren't mad because of our attitude or anything, its because when something like that happens and we end up in a wreck it scars them for life when they have to clean up a kid off a street and call their parents and tell them that their kid is dead. I respect how davenport treated that situation. Props to you man #backtheblue

I’ve had several run ins with him. My son was on his dads motorcycle got pulled over, harassed then cop put my ex husband down for the ticket. He wasn’t even there. My ex got ahold of cop and it got dropped because he messed up during stop.

Having had a daughter like this lad I truly understand why this officer was gruff. Those 2 children should NOT have been out at that hour and they both knew it. That's why I understand. Something tells me this gruffness may have some influence on this boy and if it does, then the mother is very lucky. Otherwise, she could end up like me, 76, and no daughter anymore. She couldn't understand why mom was so 'mean' to her, and it was because of her so-called friends and their middle-of-the-night activity. She gave up and just hung herself in someone else's garage. While he may have been short with the boy, he was honest. The boy knew he was in the wrong.

I call BS on this one. The officer certainly didn't stop for that red light and if you look at the vid, that truck was sitting still before crossing, so where was the infraction to make the officer cross two lanes to follow the truck? The actual infraction was at the sign just before they bailed.

I'm one that backs the blue but in his case ain't no way I can support him for treatment of this kind towards any kid under 18, the kid owned up to the fact that he was out after curfew and he still treated the kid badly to get his kicks or whatever The cop was in the wrong on this one

This one looks like the Trooper was just bored. The truck stopped momentarily and there was zero cross traffic--I am sure many of us have done the same, and just didn't get caught. Nonetheless, since I started watching these videos I have been extra careful to come to a full stop at the stop line and roll forward--better safe than sorry! Dopey kids shouldn't violate curfew and cause their parents grief. Love, David

Need I say anymore, why there is an issue with citizens against the police. The kid wasn’t disrespectful, I don’t know if this was a scare tactic against the kid but this is why kids grow up hating the police. I'm sorry but did not see him run a stop sign. I watched it several times. This trooper needs help. And sorry can't make him sit on the ground. Not under arrest, running stop sign is not a felony, out after curfew is not a felony. Troop AH is walking around with the kid so the kid follows him so trooper get but hurt cause kid can't read his mind. File a complaint. All of this is misdemeanor tickets at most. Driver is not liable for passengers actions when not in the veh. Kid ran and has nothing to do with driver. This is a reason people have issues with bully cops. Illegal search of veh. No business in it. Curfew or not. File complaint Guess there's a reason the trooper wears a hat. To cover the cheeks and hole. No rights to tow a veh parked legally on the side of a public street. Threats. File complaint. 11 mins after curfew the stop was initiated. File complaint. I'll watch again but I didn't hear the pooper ask the reason he was out.

@@rickn8or ehh, it’s understandable. GCSO dispatch and PPD dispatch are the same people, operating out of Paragould’s new emergency services center. Any call in Paragould goes out over GCSO frequencies and the dispatchers are sitting near each other so if you call for LEO in Paragould, it’s common for you to get both agencies. As for why there’s so many officers there, that area behind dog and suds/near Labor Day Park is the area where most of the violent crime in Paragould happens outside of B Street, Pecan Grove, and the Franklin Apartments so someone fleeing from an officer out there typically gets a large response.

Correct depends on which state your in wether the passenger has to stay. In Missouri the passenger is part of the stop the only thing they don’t have to do is identify. Unless there is probable cause or reasonable suspicion for them to have too identify.
