This woman understands more than she let on. I have no problem with where someone came from as long as they are here legally. They should also learn to speak and understand English. If I were in Mexico and did not make an effort to speak Spanish then they would not communicate with me. Thanks ASP for your patience even though the woman was in the wrong. STAY SAFE OUT THERE TROOPER.

Maybe it's just me, but she seem to understand everything Trooper Richardson said to her while she was sitting in the back seat. I think it's selective comprehension. That young boy was put in an awkward situation, shame on her. 🤷🏻‍♀️Trooper Richardson is a calm respectful man. Another gorgeous image. Thanks NST ❤🇺🇸🚑

Yeah, it’s just you. And a few other jerks in the comments. Body language and tone of voice can convey more than you might think. She didn’t know exactly what was wrong, but she knew she did something wrong. Did you happen to notice she used an app to translate what she wanted to say to English? At first the Trooper used an app as well until he found the kid could translate for him. VERY common for kids to be translators for a parent.

@@PamelaCulp-k7v Yeah, there are unfortunately people who believe bullshit about immigrants. Maybe you have missed all the comments backing up what I am saying. Mexicans that live along the US-Mexico border or work in the tourist destinations are going to understand a lot of English, and some other languages as well. Everyone else knows as much English as you do Spanish.

If you live in the United States where English is our primary language, learn to speak it and understand it! Our officers shouldn't have to use a translator to give directions or get information from whomever they pull over! We would have to speak their language if we lived in their country.

We don’t have a national language for this country by law. If we did, everything would require English to be printed on everything. That is not at all the same thing. The same thing is if you know the laws of any foreign country while you are driving there. She didn’t think she didn’t need to obey the laws. She didn’t know exactly what the laws are. The Trooper explained that when he told the kid to tell her she had to have a license. She will have to take test proving she knows the laws. The people you should really be pissed at are so called sovereign citizens because they truly don’t think the laws apply to them. But the Bill of Rights does. They DO know what the laws are because there was a time they obeyed them. Not obeying the laws, primarily registering and insuring the vehicle and having a valid drivers license, causes them endless problems but they keep at it anyway even after having vehicles impounded and spending some time in jail.

Wow the hate on a person because they don't speak the language. Keep in mind people it isn't as easy as you arrive in a country and you magically know the language ,you need resources in order to do so and they are not always available to everyone. Let's keep that in mind before you spout out they "need to learn our language" line. Remember everyone came from somewhere and did not speak the language obviously the Trooper understood that and was patient with her, you need to know the situation of the individual, not everyone sneaks across the border there are actually those who come here legally. They are struggling to learn the language. When my Mother came to NY from Puerto Rico, for those who don't know it is part of the US, She was coming from a place that the average level of education was 4th grade and she struggled to find ways to learn English, but My mother spoke with an accent but she did learn how to speak English. It's not always the goal of people to not learn the language it takes time and when you're out there doing jobs that most don't want to do, the time is not always available. They can't always learn quickly it's a process. My mother learned by paying close attention to TV shows and since she worked 18hr days in a factory it didn't happen overnight . So let's think about a person's struggles before we condemn them for not speaking the language and also keep in mind the U.S. is a country founded by immigrants and there is no official language

Not that any imaginary god is out there doing anything about it anyway, but if anything, why not ask that he bless them back to where they came from AND make that place someplace worth living. Maybe because it doesn't have anything to do with god and everything to do with how they choose to live.

People used to go through the correct channels to enter this country. These people are welcome. The past 3 years, all kinds of criminals, thieves, drug pushers, child traffickers, murderers have entered illegally.

While these NST videos are entertaining, I'm avoiding Arkansas in my travels despite living there for over 30 years. These macho troopers are all about stopping motorists for the tiniest of infractions then meeting up at the donut shop to swap stories. Yes, Arkansas is a beautiful state, but it's totally afflicted with dumbassism.

So the traffic laws are just a recommendation because violating them has no effect on public safety unless you are unlucky? If there was any true justice in a civilized society the people who are killed and maimed by those violating the “inconvenient” traffic laws would be the folks who think those who are tasked with enforcing those laws are being unreasonable and “macho”. It’s really not that hard to obey a speed limit, own a driver’s license and insurance or comply with a court date. How can that possibly be a bad thing? If you don’t like a state where the laws are enforced please move to one of the hellholes that don’t. I think everyone in the state you leave will be happier and safer. SMH

It's unbelievable in this day and age that law enforcement does not have interpreter services on standby as we do in healthcare. It's been my experience that foreigners are often embarrassed to try attempting to speak English even though they understand it or know a few words. Enrich your minds and try learning to communicate with as many people as possible.

I personally use an ap on my phone. Works great! And remember, we do have tourists coming to the States. Not every person from another country is illegal.
