Really wonderful old speele cab, i love the old pantograph and the sound of the piston compressor operating. This has real character.

Yes. This is indeed a very charming old machine and is still going strong. It is used when SSS have trackwork and service along the line.

What voltage is the line?

@@Steven_Rowe I´m not sure. But it should be around 650 volts DC as I have been told. It is a lot of different carriages from railways put together. So I think they have to have some compromise in voltage supply to the line.

I think it is a bit higher at the distribution point of the system. Then along the line you have losses of the voltage. It is almost 2 km to the end at Hosjö. The old trams doesn´t take any harm or damage as long as you do not have any voltage over 800 volts. It is equipment before the electronics era.

@mj-projekt it always will be higher and obviously the greater the current draw the bigger the voltage drop. I love the loco, I have a passion for old steeple cab locos

First of all. Thanks for viewing my video(s). I have been told that the loco use somewhat between 600 - 700 volts DC. It is an engine from Helsingborg tramway HRRJ. They also have some freight handling to a industrial plant and factories along the line. This loco was actually their back-up engine. Nr 1 is scrapped. More details can be found at sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helsingborg%E2%80%93R%C3%A5%C3%A5%E2%80%93Raml%C3%B6sa_J%C3%A4rnv%C3%A4g I don´t know if there's an english version of the info. Yes it is. The very same that most railways use. The line is a "leftover" from a line that was abondend in the 60´s.
