Tragedy of Karbala Episode 7--- Al-Abbas(A)

Al-Abbas(A) was the son of Imam Ali(A) and was the lion of Karbala. He tried to bring water back to the camp of Imam Hussain(A) but he never reached there because his hands were cut off. As a reward Allah(SWT) granted him wings to fly with the Angels in heaven and has granted Al-Abbas(A) a high status that all the martyrs will be jealous of. Al-Abbas(A) is called Bab Al-Hawaij(the gates of needs) Allah(SWT) has granted him to help those in need.

so sad. ghazi abbas was martyred on the plains of karbala shimr said yazid hit with arrows on ghazi abbas`s eyes and mouth. a cruel man cut his left hand. then he cut his other hand. ghazi abbas called for his brother for the 1st time. imam hussain`s back was broken.

@zafeeni of course he was never given the permission to fight, but how else would he get the water? wouldnt he had to kill the enemy to reach it? narrations say that he fought with a spear and there are differentiations within the narrations. As Al-Abbas(A) fell narrations say he called "Akki" as he fell, for it was requested by Imam Hussain(A).Other narrations said he didn't call "akki" until the imam[a] reached him. so in short there are many diff narrations.i tried to keep it neutral :)

Amazing story, not sure if this one is 100% correct but abbas (as) didn't ask hussain (as) for help. The story goes abbas carries the water with his mouth then the horse carries him back to the camp, so he was stopped by an arrow to his eye which led him to fall of his horse, he continued to go back to camp by runnin back, then he was stopped again with arrows bein shot at the jug of water spilling it. Then he cried out "oh brother, leave me" hussain couldn't leave him so he ran to him and died in hussain's arms and abbas last request was for hussain to whip off the blood from his face so he can die lookin at his brother. Still no matter how the story goes or unfolds, we all know abbas is never goin to be duplicated, never goin to be defeated, and will always be the greatest brother in history. The story of the alubayit will always live on to be the greatest.
