@@gwill3019 It seemed that all the changes that took place with the Stooges involved the third Stooge. First, Shemp leaves the act because he was tired of Ted Healy's drinking heavily, and the poor way he treated the Stooges. Second, Curly was hired to replace him, and made 97 shorts before suffering the stroke that ended his career. Third, Shemp returned and stayed with the act until the day he died in 1955. Joe Besser was hired to take his place, then Joe DeRita was hired to replace him as third Stooge.

There is an afterlife. I know because it has been revealed to me in Jesus Christ. I humbly ask that you seek him and he will reveal himself to you. We have all done wrong in our lives and have fallen short of God's perfect standard of righteousness. But he came to the earth as a man in Christ and suffered a painful death to redeem us back to himself. You and I broke God's law, and Jesus paid our fine. Thats why his last words on the cross were "it is finished" it's because the debt had been paid for all mankinds' sin, and all we must do is forsake our sins, and turn away from sin toward our suffering Savior, Christ. He then gifts us with a new heart that loves goodness, I've seen him do this in my life. It's truly supernatural, if you humbly ask to know Christ and read the new testament gospels, he will truly show you who he is. Thank you and God bless you!

They were fantastic characters: funny, improv and spontaneous. I will forever admire them as a comical relief to life’s misery. They were my heroes.

I barely watched the stooges when I was little because we couldnt afford the channel it came on but from the few I watched I fell in love. Even today I would love to binge watch them. Its amazing how evil the film industry completely abusing honest, hard working guys that earned their keep. I hope they know their pain helped millions of people and should be rewarded for it. God bless them

Yes Three Stooges are greater than life and will be next to impossible for any single individual to compose and narrate without missing a piece here N there.. Thx all, a quick question : how many people here like me hasn't yet out grown Tom N Jerry cartoon ? Thumbs up if you one of us that remained " A child at heart "

Very sad. I just turned 44 and remember watching The Stooges with my grandpa as a kid. Icons to say the least!
@zendt664 жыл бұрын
Well, that was sad. Back in the late 60's, our college dorm had one television and it was always on to the daily Stooge episode at 5:30.

That "shit pay" of 20K per year per Stooge is the equivalent of over $300K in today's money. The Stooges only spent about 40 days per year filming shorts at Columbia. They were WELL PAID!

I remember, as a kid, getting home from school every day just in time to watch the Three Stooges Hour on TV. I'm 54 now and my brother is 64, but we still remember all the lines that made us laugh along with the Stooges.

I have fond memories of staying up late, as a kid, watching them on my black and white tv! Curly was always my favorite! I showed my daughters an episode once and while I was laughing my ass off they were less then amused!

This is well before my time but I watched The Three Stooges in reruns and when I was little I didn't get it because my brother watched it and he was 10 years older. By the time I grew up I got the humor and this was a day and time when you didn't have to be politically correct and when satire was recognized as just that! Nowadays half of what they do would not be allowed because the PC Karen of the world would be out there with their signs.

I used to tell people how brutal the old studio system was. This is the perfect example of just HOW brutal it really was.
