Helllo from Romania ❤ That Romainian team that you talked about also do not exist anymore. The owner went to jail and the team was put into administration and now is a defunct one. Only less then 10 years after winning Romania first division title. Hope Inverness will not have the same ending 😢

As a Kilmarnock fan I have so much admiration and respect for ICT. There is never an easy game against them..I went twice to Inverness in the Terry Butcher era (we lost both times!) when they were a top six club, pushing for Europe, I also recall them gubbing Killie 6-3 away from home. They will be back with the right management and I will be happy to see them!

I think the season should be alright on the pitch, as long as they're still around off it! I remember Dundee about 15 years ago had a 25-point deduction in (what is now the) Championship, and I think they ended up being safe by quite some distance...they would've won the title without the deduction, and put that right the next season either way. Not sure the immediate future will be quite as bright in this case, but as long as they're still in existence, I'd be surprised if they dropped any further!

I feel for them,sometimes i think the leagues structure can really affect teams who fall from the SPL if they dont get back up within a few seasons as all it takes is one bad season in the championship and you can find yourself stuck in league 1 for many years where it is impossible to remain fully professional,we Falkirk fans know this all too well.

It needs an 18 team premier league, Falkirk Dunfermiline Raith Rovers and a few others with a decent fan base would make the league more competitive. Only playing each other twice and more local rivalries would make things more competitive.

@@JohnRay-j6f i agree though i would go for 20 teams 38 games a season ,2 up 2 down no playoffs because if you come bottom of a 20 team league you deserve relegation ,i would make the championship the same plus it would add more top flight places for Scottish players to get experience. If Rangers and Celtic are not happy about only 2 games against each other then we could create a cup they could fight over between the two of them. Should add i would let all the teams presently trying to get league status into league 1 as who knows one of them might become a big club one day and others have already proved they can compete in the leagues.

Imagine paying stupid money following your local team when half your town and city are glory hunters and then to have your season finished about 6 weeks into the season. City and Town councils and businesses should come togeather with clubs and offer cheap travel or free travel to stadiums and keep tickets cheap mayb £10 ticket or even £5. More kids would be interested and offers a cheap social gathering for people what people can afford. 24000 people might pay £10 ticket is better than 4000 paying £34 watching rubbish in an empty stadium playing the same teams over and over. You dont even need these state of the art new modern souless stadiums just keep it old school with what you have it all about being close to the pitch snd a good atmosphere.

Having watched my one time local team Bangor City wither and die, sending good wishes to ICT and their fans. No matter how dark things get there is every chance theyll come back stronger as Bangor 1876 have shown. Hearts and Dunfermline in a similar position, Dunfermline are secure and Hearts are having great nights in the ECL. The painful times now will make the good times to come all the sweeter. Sam, you do a superb job promoting fitba, if you are at all able to see a TNS european tie, the club would more than welcome you.

If you’re local to Dumbarton or nearby have a read about the rock and it’s history. The fortification on top of Dumbarton rock was the capital of an ancient people, the Damnonii tribe, who inhabited it for almost 1000 years until it was sacked and taken by Vikings in 870. 200 Viking long ships sailed up the Clyde led by the famous Viking Ivar the boneless and starved the king and his people out. The history of that rock is like nothing else in Scotland. The birthplace of the ancient kingdom of Strathclyde. When the Romans built the Antonine wall hundreds of years earlier nearby at clydebank they had to pay the damnonii tribe off so they wouldn’t loot the Roman camps and attack the soldiers. People wonder why we are nuts in the west coast ? It’s the genetics. We’ve never been conquered.

Calley Thistle were formed in 1994 from the merger of two existing clubs, Caledonian and Inverness Thistle. Not 1944 as you stated. It was somewhat controversial at the time.

Do alot of scottish people only follow the Old Firm teams? Seems like these other clubs don't get the support like them. I understand having success gets yoy the followijg but come on. I came in this week from the States to watch the team I support (motherwell). Alot of the history of the town steelworkers and blue collar is like the town i come from in the States, and it really drew me to the club. Yeah, they aren't the best, and probably won't compete for prem but the connection to club is there and will follow WELL wherever. Sad seeing these clubs not get support

Let's say a club is in a desperate financial situation - income not meeting expenditure so that players or other staff are not getting paid, or the club has other creditors who want their money (like the local authority wanting the club to pay its rates - local taxes to pay for roads, lighting, cleaning etc - or other businesses who have supplied goods or services to the football club). The club may go into Administration which means an Administrator is appointed - often an accountant or insolvency practitioner - and the Administrator will run the club in the hope the financial issues can be improved and/or the club sold to a genuine buyer. That may involve discussions with some creditors (maybe taking a portion of the money owed to them at this stage in the hope that if the club is sold or the position improves, they'll get the rest owed to them later). Maybe some staff lose their jobs or some agree to a wage cut to keep their jobs at all, and maybe other cost-cutting exercises are undertaken. If the club can run like this for a short period it may be possible to sell the club to a new owner/company with the financial resources to put the club into a good position. Or maybe by cost-cutting the club could continue to function. Players may have to be sold to balance the books. The Administrator has duties so he can't crash the club. He is trying to maintain as much of the club/jobs etc as possible. Points are taken from the club as a penalty to prevent owners "doing this on purpose" - running a club beyond its means which would effectively be a fraud on all the other teams in the league who are trying to run their clubs properly. If the club can be traded into a better place so that it gets out of administration, then everyone is happy. If things cannot be sorted out - the financial problems are so deep-rooted etc - then the club might go into liquidation. All the assets are sold off in the hope of meeting at least some of the debts. But if that happens, everyone loses their jobs and the limited company that is the legal entity of the football club will die/cease to exist. Hopefully that helps.😢

The support in Inverness is embarrassing, they all want it but dont go to watch it. They never really had a chance with the locals not showing real interest and support.
