i dont think their nervous nor scared or worried about their performance, not overly anyway.. they are the tragically for crying out loud....they can do what they want..whos the queen anyway..some old lady we share with canada ?..gord could hit a wrong chord, sing a line out of tune, fall over, and call me a dick. hes still gord downie..and hes a sultan.

I love The Hip, but this kinda sucks becuase Gord is to restrained because of the situation. It is not The Hip that I like. They should avoid situations like this and stick to where they are most comftorable.

Lets not get carried away.The Hip are good, but good is about as much as you can say for a band that can only really tour their own country succesfully. Gord is a great character to go see live. A Sultan? I think you need to get out more. :-)

Don't worry about the Queen, she has been trained over 60 years to smile and nod and enjoy anything. You should be more worried by the cardboard, boring, banal conservatives and 2dimensional government goons from Ottawa that got free tickets to this gig (who probably sat uneasy and cringing in their seats the whole time when the Hip were playing)
