I use regular 16 ga wire it is hard to see from the back as you walk up to it gets more tresspassers.

Bungee cords work great, too. Same concept but don't need a knot when you have the little hooks on the end. Super cheap at Harbor Freight.

I’ve used bungees as well and so far I haven’t had any issues or any stolen. I also find them easier than straps when standing at the top of my climbing stick.

@@ChasingTalesOutdoors i think its like 15lb and its braid you need to cut with knife ( don't try to rip with hands it will cut into you ! Moss green (thats the color they call it) blends in real good
