This pool was a nice surprise to find while hiking in the middle of our drought here in Arizona. It led to some of my best ever mountain lion trail camera footage and by far the coolest bear video I've gotten so far. This pool is mostly hidden by the grass and steep terrain around it, which is good for trying to get footage of wildlife. Drop a comment below if you enjoyed the video and tell me which Arizona wildlife you'd like to see more of. Thanks for watching.
Fun facts:
Waterholes are classic ambush sites for predators. Look how nervous the deer is at 08:55.
Skunks will stomp to warn other animals they're about to be sprayed if they don't back off. That's what the skunk is doing at 09:40.
Listen closely at 12:54. The younger mountain lion lets out a little purr.
Species shown: Mountain Lion, Turkey Vulture, Black Bear, Coues Deer, Hog-nosed Skunk, Ring-tailed Cat, Mexican Jay, Gray Fox, Blue Grosbeak, and some sort of bat (please tell me if you know the species).
Trail Camera used: Browning Recon Force Advantage

That also accounts to pigs, cickens, sheep, goats, cows... They deserve a happy free life. Also the soutamerican rainforest is mostly destroyed by making space for them. So by going vegan we can safe the aggriculture animal and a lot of wildlife (also ones harmed by climate change) :)
@Michael.Outside
@Michael.Outside 2 жыл бұрын
Everyone going vegan would actually require more land mass dedicated to agriculture. To grow plants on an industrial scale, they clear massive amounts of ground and kill every living organism (every tree, every mouse, rabbit, etc) that used to be there. Then they make sure to keep away every animal that wants to eat that food being grown. It’s sad to see something die but killing and eating deer, elk, etc and leaving quality habitat ensures wild animal populations still exist more than the whole world going vegan would. Once land is put to the plow it’ll never be inhabited with the biodiversity it once had (that being said, many farmers do provide more habitat to wildlife than a new city in the same location would). Habitat is the key to the future of wildlife. I’ll never tell someone what they should eat. But there are no simple solutions in terms of “everyone should do this or that”.

And after that, at 8:52, you can see that poor deer having to deal with the smell of that bear. It can smell the bear all over the place, which is terrifying it, but it also needs to drink. It makes you realize just what a golden age humanity lives in. If you think about it, back before the U.S. was a country, if you went out into the wild, and went to a spring, or water hole, you too had to be aware of your surroundings...to make sure wolves, mountain lions, or bears didn't happen upon you. But now, getting water is so casual, we don't even think about it. The greatest golden age mankind has ever experienced, and all we can do is complain about everything. Animals have to constantly worry about being eaten, or killed by a rival. And we cry about them messing up our order at McD's.
