Cool videos, old man joe ,80 years old. i am in bad health and cannot go hunting any more. Hunting , i mean going looking these days. I used to do that back when i was young and found the tracks and best ones i could to find a good hunting spot in advance of the season. Worked out well for me. The only reason the snake wasn't eaten was that the otter had easier prey. Just because because a snake is venomous, doesn't mean it doesn't have to worry about being eaten.
@Baileysunshine3 жыл бұрын
Definitely a water moccasin. That triangle head and distinct resting b*tch face gives it away! The otter or owls or even hawks could have easily preyed upon the snake, if they were desperate enough!

I think the birds hang around when mammals or gators go exploring in the pond so they can snatch up any little critter that tries to hop out, similar to how some birds hang around plowing machines or sharks follow fishing boats. For example, at about the 6:03 mark, a frog apparently almost hops out of the water as the otter swims towards it. Edit: Crows are the smartest bird in the world.
