The electric mode on this is a bit of false advertising. It does work - when it wants to and isn't doing a 'Fuel and Oil Refresh.' If you are in a cold climate, basically just assume it will only work in electric only mode during the summer. I really like mine, but feel cheated by the fact that to do electric only there are a bunch of conditions that have to be met. I wouldn't have paid extra for the Hybrid if it was advertised properly.
