Growing up in Germany, I remember visiting Chamonix during the winter with family to ski on Mont-Blanc. I didn't know it was a mecca for trail running, but it makes complete sense. I can't wait to get back some day.

I especially like the interviews with the runners describing how they were feeling and their strategy at different points of the race we were seeing. Gives it so much more context! The footage of them bombing the downhill was also amazing.

Great energy and fun in theses videos. In spirit of constructive criticism, it did seem to me that the front of pack Kenyans Robert and Petro never get named by name, but everyone else does. And Petro is Eritrean, not Kenyan.

Well it seems to have become considerably more professional in the ten years since I did it. More of a pro race than a local marathon that happens to be in the mountains….be interesting to know if regular runners of the event preferred the new or old approach to, and climb up the Posettes, and the town level finish?
