Nike wanted to compare/contrast some of their road shoes and trail shoes on different surfaces. Perfect for a (Road &) Trail Tested! Full reviews of the three shoes coming after full review cycle.

Very cool you gave Thomas Dambo's "Glempte Kæmper" that warm attention. I hope he can install six or seven in your region like his earlier projects (CPH, Boom, ...) It's a great day out searching for them cycling or... trailtesting !!

They are INCREDIBLE works of art! It sounds like he might be giving them away after the 3yr installation which is SUPER cool

I just picked up the Wildhorse 8 and couldn’t be happier. I almost choked realizing you are in the same area. I live in Klahanie and have been following you for over a year and never realized you were a neighbor! Keep up the great work! Great channel!

I LOVE my WH8 the best version yet. And i have tried them all. Infinity rn4 sounds like a brilliant road shoe. I never liked the ZoomX and hated the Zegama so I can't imagine the invincible 3 is something for me. Thanks for another wonderful test video and for the insight of your beautiful neighborhood

I've been very impressed with the Infinity RN 4 (agree with the 1/2 size up) and look forward to trying the others. The Wildhorse 4 looks like it may be the real deal (as opposed to the Ultrafly, which I deemed "a West Coast shoe" and a luxury rather than a workhorse).
@The_Shoe_In_With_Cody Жыл бұрын
Recently reviewed the Infinity RN 4 really nice shoe. Biggest issue for me how heavy it was. For me it’s a nice recovery day shoe or daily trainer if your not going super long.

Great edition of Trail Tested. Love the addition of some road shoes! Look forward to seeing more? As for the shoes, I’ve tried previous versions of all three. Unlikely to retry them even though my initial impressions of all three matched yours, but eventually they fell out of my rotation for a variety of reasons: grip, cushion, stability (wild horse, infinity, invincible) among others. Beautiful looking shoes, but other brands and shoes just work better for me.

Yeah my goal has always been to be able to bring in some road offerings. I just always end up on gravel or dirt 😂. Maybe this is the jump start I needed

Whenever I try Nike there is always something that just does not work out for me. Peg trail 3 was fun but the unpredictable grip and weight became a deal breaker in the end to consider it a serious shoe. Peg trail 4 instantly blistered my heel and grip was no better. I have invincible 2’s that I used when nursing injury, but they simply fell out of rotation- all I remember is they felt slow, clunky, and sounded like an octopus in a rubber bucket falling down the stairs. Pegasus road was an instant regret on first run. Maybe part is I’m just tired of Nike gear as it was seen as the only real choice for both athletes and popular style when I was younger and now I just see them as too commercial and trendy /fashionable to be taken seriously for my needs.

I try Nike every now and again to see how they are coming along, but that's a lot of Nike's for someone that doesn't like them! I most recently have the Zegamas, which is mostly like other than outsole rubber being bottom of the class.

Hey GR. Love this video. Infinity 4 is on my watch list for a future shoe. 2 questions: Is tiger claw merch such as your hat only available at the event and what music was used at the end of the video? Thx and take care.

Hey Ethan, Really great episode and I think I'm going to try the Nike Infiinity RN4 as a result. Seems like it my type of shoe. Curious if this is one that will be introduced into your long-term rotation?

Ran Cascade Crest in an earlier version of the Wildhorse 🤔, the 2's? 3's perhaps? (me looks over at my stockpile)

Nice video, you always transmit the joy of running, which is the most important thing. Compared to the peg trail 4 goretex, how do you feel the cushioning of the wildhorse? I ask you because I really love the react foam of that pegs, that I feel more responsive and cushion than in other models. Thanks
@TheGingerRunner Жыл бұрын
I’d say these are pretty close in feel of peg trails, it’s prob the upper fit that’ll be different. And there’s more lug on the WH for sure
@RowOfMushyTiT Жыл бұрын
Kiger 9 similar feel only a lower drop.

Absolutely love the trail tested videos! But sadly I do not love the Invincible 3. The plastic overlays around the laces and the heel do not feel good, and the upper is too stretchy, loose, and insecure for me. Got some bad pressure points on the top of my feet from having to cinch down the laces combined with the plastic overlays. Also just kind of a big clunker of a shoe.

Good feedback. They’re now in my regular review rotation so I’ll keep puttin the miles in for a final review. Hoping they hold up!

I’ve thought about bringing the reviews to this format, it’s usually a lot of thought/note summating from the weeks of testing. I’d worry about forgetting something haha! But I do love just running and talking, haha

I own both the Wildhorse 8 (heck, I'm running in them tomorrow) and the Invincible 3's. The former are a massive improvement over the 7's. They're essentially a much better version of the Pegasus Trail 4's. And those lugs are superb. Alas, the Invincible 3's are a massive disappointment for me. They're nowhere near as cushioned as the 2's (or even the 1's for that matter). The older versions were simply a massive slab of Zoom X foam with no other bells and whistles. Because there was nothing between the foot and the midsole you got that max cushion feel from the start. However, they've added a strobel board to the 3's and that has completely muted the feel and the cushioning for me (and many other runners). It's absolutely heartbreaking. They took one of my favorite shoes from 2022 and took away the thing that made it superb 😢.

Solid feedback! Can’t wait to put the Invincibles through more miles and get em broken in
@OrdMandrell1 Жыл бұрын
@@TheGingerRunner I'd actually recommend getting hold of a pair of the 2's before your review. The Invincible 3's in isolation are a great shoe. The only reason you're hearing the negative feedback on them is because they're worse than the previous version. If these were the first version of a new line - we'd probably be cheering 😉.
