We need this production back on stage! Cinderella is one of the missing ballers that I never saw the Royal Ballet perform, though I only can see the live performances in cinemas or purchase DVDs. We need Cinderella back on stage! 😍🥰

Oh I’d just love to see the the Royal Ballet revive Cinderella when lockdown is over. Maybe with Nela and Vadim. It’s such a romantic, sweet ballet, just what we need after such hard times!

I searched...I think I know the difference. I got the Birmingham version...what I need, I guess, is the Royal Ballet 2011 version.

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME....what version this is. It says Trailer 2011...but, the DVD I got (the one with the Clock and with Elisha Willis and Iain Mackay...different people here. i would sure like to get the version as in the trailer depicted above...but, I am confused...

i love Alina Cojocaru! She's my favorite ballerina ever! Would anyone tell me what the oranges mean? I've looked everywhere for the meaning but couldn't find it

veeeeery late reply! The oranges, in case you've not discovered it yet. The oranges are a rare delicacy in the land where this Cinderella takes place. So receiving an orange is a super special treat

In reference to the 'Oranges' scene in Cinderella, I believe it's a comical reference to Prokofiev's opera: 'The Love For Three Oranges'. He even uses the main theme in the 'Oranges' scene in Cinderella, so that opera lovers would get the joke. As to the ROH version of Cinderella - well here's the thing: It was televised in the noughties. I know, because I taped the whole thing then later transferred it to dvd. Not perfect, but I thought: they're bound to release it soon and then I can buy a 'proper' version. Alas, it never was released. Here's another thing - the few solo's posted on youtube (Season Fairies from both this version and an early 70's Sibley/Dowell version) was recently taken down by the ROH themselves, citing 'copyright' reasons. Well and good, but how are we supposed see this version at all? How are ballet students to study the dancers' styles, to say nothing of these clips being available to all dance lovers for archive interest, to see ANY of it, whilst those ROH critters hoard the lot?? Let's say the ballet is made available to buy - blu-ray, please! It's still going to cost more than your average DVD. How many younger students will even be able to afford it? Let's hope that those rascals at ROH reconsider and re-post these clips - they were short and hardly amounted to the whole ballet. Copyright? What are we going to do? Download the lot and flog them on eBay?! Incidentally, if you know where to look, (shhh!) some of them ARE available to see elsewhere. If clips of Bintley's version is freely available to see, then why not ROH's?? At least the Sibley/Dowell version is still available. And divine, by the way.

Hi YueWill give it a try, though it might take a little time. The picture won't be great, since it's dubbed from a video. Also there is the possibility it will be taken down, since they seem to be doing that a lot lately - even on harmless dance videos, which is a shame, so grab it when you can.Let's hope they listen and make it commercially available, since it is a great version :0)

I'm currently at the Royal Opera House watching Cinderella expecting to see a brilliant production such as the one in this video....so far I'm really disappointed....
