Trailer Into REaction: Oddity (2024) | Official Trailer

I'm not sure if 'Killer manikin' is even a sub-genre of horror but if 'The Twilight Zone' has taught me anything it's that manikins make everything creepier.
And for the most part that maxim hasn't let me wrong (except for 'Don't Look Away' (2023), which didn't quite work for me.
So now we have 'Oddity,' which seems to suffer from the ailment I like to call Annebelle syndrome (or Wanitis) which is when a movie has an antagonist that looks so creepy and off-putting that while it may initially shock, it doesn't wear particularly well.
