‘The Gorge’ comes to us via Scott Derrickson and AppleTV+ and I’m not sure the story of two dysfunctional (and eventually) lovers keeping watch over what might be the gates of Hell is worth your time when movies like ‘The Cave’ (2005) and ‘The Sentinel’ (1977) already exist because sight unseen I know Michael Winner (the director of the latter) is willing to risk more than Derrickson.
