For me, there are 3 things I'd love to see introduced in this game, but somehow I doubt this will happen:- 1. You have to start off in smaller lorries (7.5 tonne or even vans) until you have enough xp or licence to upgrade to bigger vehicles 2. Kind of works with 1 but happens with bigger trucks too - multi-drop deliveries. 3. Rework of the AI, not just where they do random things but also things like at night where it seems like every car wants to drive down the same road as you when in reality the roads would be dead in the middle of the night. It is refreshing though to see a game co. that keeps a game fresh and updated and listens to the community rather than spitting out new iterations each year with no real update...

metalhead vlogs add a points bar for heavy cargo/special cargo. In the same way as ADR is now. So you start of doing normal cargo. Then you spend a point into it for allowing the transport of diggers or to unlock the special transport dlc which you need.for all cargo options but if you don’t buy it you can still do one or two cargo types.

scs made interview with polish ets streamer and they said they not going to focus on company management as they want to focus on driving part so many things such as choosing job for drivers etc will not be implemented as they simply dont want to focus and "their team is too small" to focus on those things, it would be cool to be able to manage company and more things to do. Also on previous SCS games 18 wheels of steel series you could assign drivers, talk to them on cb radio, ask for traffic/weather and other cool things and you could actually see them on the road which was cool

You can if your not at the specific garage where you located your trailer to be, you have to drive there and pick up your trailer. Don't know about parking it tho i believe its the same as picking it up.

Indeed, I would of liked to see trailer switches at the same garage without entering a menu and my other trailer dissapearing, they should just remain parked at a certain spot and you shouldn't have to open a menu to pick it up from the garage

11 years ago, trailer ownership was implemented for the first time in American Long Haul. One year later, the first Euro Truck Simulator was out and after some similar releases including German Truck Simulator, we finally got to see this feature implemented again in another game; honestly I thought this will never happen, but I'm glad it's here. Still, I don't see what took SCS so long to figure it out for Euro Truck franchise... anyway, thank you for taking care of your game for such a long period, this is why we love your game so much.

I guess so too. It wouldn't be cheap. And on the other side, their goals are a bit different. SCS wants to make a nice driving sim. ProMods wants to rebuild Europe. Some crossings in Promods are really difficult to take. For arcade players they wouldn't fit :D

The goals for map-making on the SCS side and Promods side are different (as already pointed out by Acme.). SCS has a mapmaking team already that they need to pay, so company-wise, it's gonna be a difficult situation. And I guess we all would love to see our trucks & drivers (together with trailers once 1.32 is fully out) cruising down the roads of ETS2. At least they'd no longer just be the trucks that we bought but are non-existent or better called Online Trucks.

Noscopes. Not even close mate. You CLEARLY have extremely limited gaming experience. Check out what Hinterland has done with The Long Dark. If you got the game since early access, they've added 7 additional regions. And some of the maps are HUGE. No charge. Free. SCS charged a DLC fee for you to be able to change wheel nut colors. Hinterland introduced an actual story mode to The Long Dark over and above the pure survival mode. Episode 3 coming in December. No Charge. Free. SCS charge a DLC fee for a country flag skin. SCS are FAR from being the "we care about our community" company that you think it is. They're simply out to get as much $$$ as possible. They're nickel-and-dime company. I mean come on. Changing wheel nut colors is a DLC !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poncing around with trailers instead of adding content to American Truck Sim. Yeah. They're great.

Hey Squirrel, A little more info to help you out. Refrigeration trailers unlock at lvl 18, and the upgraded units at lvl 23 and 25. If your hired drivers use your own trailer then they DO make more money, Ive seen personally where my drivers would get about 5k for a job, then use my trailer and give roughly 8-9k for the same job. So you can expect about a 35% increase in profit if you use your own trailer.

Great video. The best review I’ve watched so far about the new ETS2 v1.32. I loved the way you are deep in detail, you seem to know your stuff well. I don’t have the 1.32 yet but you’ve really made me eager to get it ASAP. The new trailer ownership is the major update towards this game and thankfully there’re people like you to take us through the important new features. One thing I might add though because I’ve watched this video like 7 times already is the difference I’ve noticed in tire weight when you change the chassis. At 10:45 your tire weight was at 15,620kg and after you changed it at 11:12 it dropped down to 15,020kg. So there’s a difference of 600kg which simply means chassis choice do count on the amount of cargo you’ll be able to carry in your trailer. And if I’m right, the more the cargo weighs the more the pay. Also I liked your mod, apparently I don’t have any since they don’t work or I haven’t figured out a way to make ‘em function in the game. But I have a few that comes standard with the normal update which is not much but I can’t complain either. Apart from that I’d give you a 97% and thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 all the way. Yes there’s a lot we gamers wish to see but just to stay on point, this is the best review I’ve watched. Great job

the time on the display is not minutes, it shows the time going forward, your AI driver will NOT APPEAR in traffic, another think, the camera isnt fixed anymore, right click and you can move the camera and not rotate it

Great update and well explained...One thing I would love to see is the garages that you own be made a little bigger so you can drive the truck-trailer around the garage and maybe a rest area there so when making long hauls you can choose to rest at a owned-garage instead of other areas

Owning your own trailer is about as cosmetic as owning your own truck in this game.. You get higher profits for the same distance travelled, and your workers get more profits as well.

This looks to be the biggest update milestone for quite a while, and I can see it being the foundation for a multitude of great things to come. Modders will have a frenzy, providing trailers, skins and (if possible) cargo types, not to mention accessories. I can also see it being the basis for branded trailer DLCs (note the challenge-based Krone / Goodyear ?), and maybe even cargoes. I also think this is the prime mover to finally getting box truck chassis! Modding tools just need to catch up now (ETS2 Studio?)

Just one addition on 3:30 ; the number of axels and spread of the axels on the trailer doesn't change anything in the specs, but it does change the way the trailer handles in terms of stability (especially when you play with lower than standard truck and trailer stability).

does hauling an empty trailer still have fuel consumption effects, and a flatbed will weigh less so it consumes less fuel and has better acceleration etc compared to lets say a refrigerated one?

They should add it so you have to get out of your truck to refuel and pay, they should also add a hunger bar, just stopping by petrol stations and eating when it is depleted, and also an animation for sleeping, getting in the back and so on

Thanks for this incredibly useful video! The update looks good, but I feel they missed a golden opportunity to make skin customization easier. As far as I am aware, you currently have to download a template, configure it in an ETS2 Studio mod, and in-game it replaces an existing trailer skin. This then doesn't show up on MP. Custom routes would've been nice so you don't have to be restricted by where you take cargo - surely if a delivery is for an in-game company such as 'Posped' you should be able to deliver to any 'Posped' facility in any city. Other than that, a very overdue, and very exciting update!

Buildings generally do ordering only for their specific building. If an order is for one Posped, and you deliver it to another than the people at the building that ordered it will be confused why it's not there and the other building will reject it because they didn't order it and have nowhere to store it even if they wanted it.

The reason why they keep your position locked in the trailer configuratior (and everywhere else), could be to prepare for future VR support. Making VR support will be much easier with static cameras.

TL98 not sure when but you can play the open beta by right clicking on ETS2 in your steam library, a ton of options will pop up but at the very bottom click properties. A little screen will pop up there are options at the top. One of those options says betas click on it. There will be a multiple choice box that says “opt out all betas” click on it then there is all versions of the the game including 1.32. Open beta. Note: disable all mods and you probably have to create a new character or you can just backup your characters that you will use 1.32

There have been a few mentions of new chassis configurations on the roadmap, my assumption has been that they want to get the economy balance and job market mechanics of BYOTrailer sorted first, no doubt with things like cargo types and weight limits before rolling out that feature. Rigid trucks will need new models and physics tuning to get right, so it makes sense to split these into separate updates

I’m a retired truck driver only 33 but anyway. I love this game but it has so much potential it’s missing out on. You need to be able to own distribution centres and hire online drivers to work with you/for you. Trailers need to be loaded on the docks and then it would be a good idea to have Tug vehicles and shunters to move trailers around the yard. Some players enjoy practicing reversing trailers. Then you can expand your distribution centre by opening more branches. You get the picture, there needs to be a lot more than just driving around.

I know you can only have 5 trucks and 5 drivers per garage but is it 5 trailers too or could I have, oh, to throw out a absurd silly crazy number, 15 trailers (one of each type for each of the drivers) per garage or ... ? you know, I would love to see an option where it allows you to create your own driver. Like, what he looks like, how he dresses and all. And you're first person view when he's driving, Seeing his hands on the steering wheel, feet on the pedals, shifting gears, adjusting mirrors, and even maybe scratch his hair and other little details. I think the steerable axles would probably help you make tighter turns, useful on some of those more narrow streets you might find yourself having to travel down or those entryways to get to a drop off point for your cargo more axles does mean that the trailer can support more heavy cargo.

I wish they add tandem configurations to this and rigid trucks! So that you could have a rigid truck without trailer caring goods. Of course that would mean less cargo, but it would also open up the possibility to pickup a trailer in Scandinavia carrying more loads. And also the possibility to take more than one job at a time. This would be very advanced compared to now, but it sure would add a lot to the game. It's supposed to be a simulator after all.

Yeah it's good that you can now own your own trailer but it would also be good if you could see the trailers being loaded, also be great to get out of the truck aswell, as for the box trailers be great to access a pallet truck to move pallets to the rear of the trailer for forklifts to take off, having said that i still enjoy many hours of playing this game, i just feel it could be made a little more realistic as it is called ( Euro Truck ( Simulator), great video Squirrel

This is actually the best update i've experienced for ETS2 ever. It opens up for so many opportunities. Now they have the mechanics to support BDF tandems and single box trucks too. This is awesome!!!

I drive with the B trailer type with 2 axel on the first trailer and 3 on the second trailer. In Denmark with that combination the maximum weight is 56 ton, also a 3 axel truck is needed.

1 thing i would like to see in the game is a parking space around the back of garages which is were the trailers would be parked when they are not in use another thing i would like to see is being able to see your drivers on the road

I'd love to see them expand on the economy and Company side of things. Like take a contract as a company to deliver so many tons of an item by a certain date.

this can be expanded massively, as someone who works for a truck company, and spends 5 days a week loading/unloading trailers, it would be nice for them to let you buy warehouses, then you and your drivers can pickup freight, move it to your warehouse to unload and get redirected to another trailer, then you get loaded back up and continue on to which ever city you have chosen ahead of time, perhaps they could add a "route builder" option kinda thing, so you pick like 4 or 5 cities in a row you want to hit as you drive kinda thing.... am disappointed you can have a big yard for your trailers to be stored in, would be neat to see that... would say it would also be neat seeing your drivers coming and going with your trailers to but knowing the AI, putting them all in a yard would be bad lol. i also get why they put a loading screen for the loading/unloading of the freight, most dont want to wait the game time for it and i doubt they really wanted the time to animate and program it all, tho would be nice seeing your trailer bounce a bit from the forklifts and hearing them to...maybe that will come later on tho...

I think, that would be more cool, if you can buy trailers for all your employees. Like, everybody in the company, have to own a trailer. And also, let you to make a custom paint. With, whatever you want. Without mods. That would be very awsome in my opinion.

I think they should add Schwarzmuller trailers to the trailer dealer next to the standard ones. It will also be one more plus for the DLC itself!

They will at some point. All these trailers you can own have been refurbished new trailer models brought in much better and higher quality and made to work with trailer ownership. So that's something they'll need to do for all the different trailers in game update them to work with trailer ownership.

I was thinking while watching this that they would track what town (nearest owned garage) where you delivered and parked them. Then you would have to do actual trailer logistic management. Max trailers at a garage, empties that need to be moved, and the like. Maybe that's too much like work.

How ofthen driving down the road you can see some truck tire, its very common thing for truckers that their tire blow up if they are old, it will be cool if in ets we have flat tire or to tire to blow up after a lot of kilometers without changing Overweight cargo should increse risk

The fact that you can't save the configuration actually makes sense since it is not possible to save the configuration of a truck either (or have I missed that new feature? :D). I would appreciate if it was possible, but I've accepted that I need to configure my trucks each time I buy one for a new driver.

I rather hope they'll add saved presets for both trucks and trailers now that the bulk of trailer customizer work is done. Hopefully the truck customizer and trailer customizer share enough code that it won't be too difficult to implement saving presets for both at once.

This will be amazing, it definitively refreshes the game and doesn't make it as repetitive. One thing I wish they did different is the how you park / acquire your trailer. At the moment all you're doing is clicking a button to get it and to get rid of. Instead I would love to drive up to my garage where the trailer is parked and see it with my own eyes then all I would need to do is drive up and take it. Later on you'd have a few more trailers and you could almost treat it as a "showcase". Plus it makes the use of garages because at the moment I don't think I ever used my garage, ever. In my eyes this would make it more of a simulator. Although this is an amazing start!

This is a fantastic step forward - the next thing I'm hoping for is used truck dealers. For most manufacturers now we have a newer and an older variant, so being able to buy an older truck in a random livery which needs repair for a lower price would be awesome
