Thanks for reacting to this and you made valid points as well. Regarding the actual series, what you have seen here in the pilot trailer might come out differently in the actual series. The production have adjusted a lot of things since then, like the styling, the storyline and some characters are a bit different too. We're all gonna be in for a treat based on all the behind the scenes photos during filming they have released so far! I hope you'll be able to react to the series once it comes out on November! This trailer pilot is just a concept trailer , they adjust the scenes and from this, the actual filming and from the novel where it is based I think they have a lot of changes.. This pilot was a sample or concept of the series although the official filming of the series will be a little different even from the original story (novel). They added and changed some things. In the series there will be 3 couples (perhaps there will be a fourth). The first is Mon and Sam who are played by Becky and Freen. The second is KenLong and Oeng Oei who are played by Oaey (Engfa's friend) and Jaja. The third is Yuki and Thee who are played by Irin (Becky's best friend) and Noey. The plot of GAP covers the love of Sam and Mon against the "gap" between social / economic status and age, it also shows the inequalities or how the law is with people who are part of the LGBTQ + in Thailand. It also shows us drama family (trauma), this story has different concepts and we can find good and funny moments as well as dramatic and sad moments in general.

So, you finally gave in and reacted to the trailer!😏 Some of the comments already stated that they changed some things from the novel. How these changes will affect the plot and some characters, we will see. The good thing is the cast and crew is very receptive to feedback. The director is also detail-oriented so I might have some expectations. Based on some still cuts/BTS shots, I think the director is doing a good job. They're almost finished with the shooting process and I can't wait for the official trailer and the series to drop this November. The official trailer will be whole lot different from the pilot since this pilot trailer is just conceptual and something to show for their sponsors/channels. Thanks for the reaction. Oh wow you are fast! Thanks. The author of the novel this series is based on said that they will follow the novel down to 95%. I also recall reading somewhere that author wrote this a long time ago so there might be some scenes/concepts that might not apply today. They did some tweakings (revising the script etc..) and I'm kinda excited to see what they added or remove from the source material and how it will translate onscreen. Saint(boss), went all out for this. They have new look, their makeup, clothes, locations(etc..) are vastly different from the pilot trailer. I'm so so excited for the OFFICIAL trailer. Another major point would be that the source material for this series is very explicit. There's tons of kissing and intimate scenes. I'm also curious how they will handle this since Becky is only 19 when they shot this. They also received major backlash around the early part of this year resulting to removing that one scene from the pilot trailer. Major points to their chemistry too. Damn. I just know this will be lit. 😆🤭. I just know the girls will do justice to this role. I also hope GAP will open new doors to the GL industry in Thailand.

I love when people take their art seriously. I can’t wait for the official trailer too. I’m ready to see what they tweaked. Hopefully they were able to get a bigger budget for the series. Oof I wonder why they agreed to make this specific series with Becky being one of the main actresses if she’s underage. That’s a little weird. I get the story is good and would attract a lot viewers but she’s still underage lol Let’s see what happens. I’m sure they’ll do well in their performances though.

@@vickyreacts Yeah, I'm not sure either but from what I gathered.. * They already saw Freenbeck's chemistry and decided to bank on it. * They came from the same company/management so it might be easier to just cast them together as LEADS. * They secured parents'(Becky) permission and her parents are extra supportive of her endeavors. * Their manager (P'Chen) notably said during the SCOY (their first project together) era that they are scared to pair FreenBeck with other people. Going back to point one, they saw the instant chemistry these two have and how they just perfectly clicked together. I guess fans are just worried about the backlash the cast might receive, especially Becky, when the non-fans or outsiders will find out she was only 19 here. But, I trust management and I'm sure everything will be handled in an extremely professional capacity.

Mon knew Sam when she was little, her mother worked for the school for rich girls Sam went to and Sam asked her mother for a favour back then. So, Mon knows another side of Sam only her 3 close friends know. And she has been a fan of her since then. She collected all her interviews and pictures that came out in the press of her, Sam is from the royal family. The guy is a friend of Mon since childhood and has always been in love with her. And Kirk is also a friend of Sam since childhood and they have this deal that they will get married when they are 30 if none of them has found someone they love. Kirk is in love with Sam but Sam only considers him a friend. The throwing shoe scene in the novel is actually Sam throwing the shoe at Kirk when she thinks Mon and him are cheating on her. Sam is actually described in the novel as someone expressionless, she is used to hiding her feelings. Her grandmother took care of her and her 2 sisters and had a strict education. And about kissing at the office, in the novel they do so, so much more in there ... They took out one scene from the trailer because of the controversy, but I hope they put another one instead when Kirk catches them there, I thought that scene was funnier.

Hi~~ In some countries in Asia you need a relative or spouse to sign documents before going into a big procedure. Some laws have changed in this regard so far, but just in some countries like Taiwan. Sadly, for those people who are not in contact with their family and don’t have a legal partner… the law doesn’t protect them. It can be hard to understand from a “western” perspective and it’s much more complex than this simple explanation I’m giving. 😢

Hey Vicky! It's good to see you, how are you doing? This was certainly a surprise and I appreciate you for putting this out knowing how much you've probably got on your plate already. The scene in which you see the woman, you is one of Sam's (Freen) sisters is actually as close to reality as it gets in Thailand. It is a one thing here in the US but the way things occur in Thailand regarding the law and LGBTQ+ people is definitely similar to this. It was obviously a little dramatized but as far as the comments made by the doctor it is actually another hot topic within the talk of LGBTQ+ laws in Thailand. Many Thai fans were writing on twitter and in the comments of the video speaking about how important it is that they showed that because it happens quite a bit and so many are glad they addressed this side of LGBTQ+ rights as well. Keep in mind this trailer was made before they shot anything of the series, as they were trying to give the fans something and to get people interested in the series. Therefore, we really don't have to many ideas or expectations of exactly how things will go down until we see it so it's exciting 😂 I wanted to mention this because this is why there isn't too much context to things. Side note - there were people, many either not understanding what "male gaze" is or just again GL but like BL, were trying to say that the scene in which Mon (Becky) is "doing her thing" while Sa, (Freen) is sitting on the desk was from the male gaze. It had something to do with the action itself and then the joke made after in which Mon's friends mention that she has something on her lip - hair. People tried to say that was a problem, among other parts of the trailer, and it has been interesting for me to hear all these takes. It was removed for the sake of trying to be open to all perspectives. Overall, I genuinely hope the crew - which it doesn't seem like the will - is afraid to be as open and bold as they have been with showing us what they film just because people don't like it, without probable cause. I'm looking forward to this series because Freen and Becky are great people and, honestly, the whole cast and crew is such fun people. They have given so much content while filming but not we're at the point where they only have one more Quarter, if I'm not mistaken, to film so things are wrapping up on that end. One things for sure, we are seeing a lot of more not just Freen and Becky but all the couple pairings and other cast members so I'm looking forward to more of that. Hey 😊 I’m doing okay today. How have you been? From what I remember from the HT2 video where the girls went to pride, same sex marriage is not legal yet in Thailand. Before it was legal in the U.S., we also didn’t have rights so similar events as depicted in the scene happened all the time. When it comes to people other than immediate family, we can’t even confirm they are our patient or located in that hospital. Basically for HIPAA compliancy, they don’t exist unless I’m talking to the legal spouse, parent, or guardian. Unless it’s still slightly different in Thailand…..🤔 What I was more speaking on is the fact that even if the girlfriend can’t legally sign for her partner, as medical professionals we are obligated to save the patient’s life. That’s the part that wasn’t making sense to me. The life of a patient shouldn’t depend on whether someone can sign a document or not. Imagine she came into the hospital alone…so then no one is there to sign…so she dies…? That’s the part I was disagreeing on and was saying it’s probably just dramatized for the plot lol That’s interesting that they say that was male gaze. I know women that have done just that. 😂 To me it’s more about power and exhibitionism. I guess I’ll have to check out the scene for myself to gauge. But nah that hair comment is out of pocket 😂😂😂😂😂 Women don’t she’d like that lmaoooo They could have at least insinuated is was “bodily fluids” 😂😂😂😂💀

@@vickyreacts I'm doing alright surviving, so no use in complaining lol. Yes this is true, medical professionals must always do what's best for the patient. Aside it being dramatized I really think the scene, without actually saying it, was that the had come to the conclusion that whatever was needed to be done beyond that standpoint they figured it would be an official procedure I believe. I think it was more so getting at they had done all they could do and now that they needed to officially go beyond that someone needed to be able to sign the documents and because of the laws and things, the girlfriend was unable to. As far as the male gaze dilemma and even the comment I genuinely thought the original wasn't bad. Some may say the joke was poor taste but I genuinely didnt think so, in fact, it was the right amount of comical. It depends on how one sees it but for me the production cast, especially the director, has really done an excellent job from what we saw throughout their filmimg process. Regardless of what has or hasn't been taking out, I fully support what the director, cast, and crew has shown thus far because it all felt natural. That's just my two cents though you know everyone can feel what they feel 😄

And one co-worker/friend does actually catch them, Mon is under the table, and later when Mon goes out the friend tells her she has heard it all and that she has a hair on her lip. It was just some scene that happened in the book.

Gap The Series is based from a web novel, I had actually read the novel it was a really popular novel in Thailand. This pilot trailer is sort of concept but really they had mentioned already that the story is based on the said novel but then they had tweaked and added other things. But as a TMI, Sam's fiancee is her childhood friend, Kirk, Sam didn't really love him, they just had a deal that if neither of them find a gf/bf when they reach 30 then they will get married. Sam accepted this because it is much better than being arranged to a marriage that her grandma chose. Both own the company and then Mon came in the picture. Kirk also got close to Mon and treated her like a younger sister. Is this consider spoiler 😅 hahaha 😂 but yeah just a gist of the webnovel..

Gap means = gap on their social status, age, and because they are both women who happens to have fallen for each other. Biggest gap is that Sam is from like a descendant of royal family or sort of and very rich while Mon is from an ordinary family. I really am looking forward on this series. This is the first time I'm seeing the actual trailer even though I've already watched up to ep. 11 lol. It's interesting how things work in different countries because I thought trailers were made from clips of the actual movie/show but I guess this was like a concept thing? I'm glad the series turned out the way it did but I do like the concept trailer, it's definitely more gay since we got to see how Tee and Yuki became a thing and also Song and her relationship with Ice. I wonder if they were told to tone down the gay lmao. Also the scenes with MonSam are so hot lol but I'm glad Khun Sam in the series is not as dramatic with the whole shoe throwing lol yikes...
