The most serious threat to savarnas - across any political line - is a charismatic, intellectual, (perceived) Muslim, political leader. I’m aware that Umar Khalid is an atheist, but he comes from a Muslim family. Most Hindus cannot seem to grasp that Islam is a choice because they are raised to believe in the caste system. Umar Khalid is rotting in jail for the past 5 years as a message to all Muslims to not even think about seriously getting involved in politics. You can be a token Muslim in political parties, but to actually want a voice will lead you to be charged under the UAPA for anything made up and remain in jail without bail indefinitely without a trial. The only person who regularly talks about this issue is the journalist, Ravish Kumar.
