Love the mast stepping setup. The best design I have seen, assuming it works as well in practice as it did in this video. Will have to look this up. Great job!

Well done James and Joe! What was already the simplest trailer sailer to set up has been made even easier with the updated boom connector. In one easy action the mast goes up and the boom with it. Nothing to disconnect/reconnect. It’s brilliant, I’m loving it and thanks David for the free upgrade!

Nice to see just how quickly she is rigged & launched in real life. The sliding seat for rowing is a thoughtful touch too. Some thoughtful camera angles in this video. Cheers, Gavin & Amanda

Thanks! We made a change to the boom Gooseneck fitting since the first setup video, making it much quicker and easier. So we decided to do the whole video again with the new setup procedure, and threw in the rowing for a bit of fun!

@@bluewatercruisingyachts3283 - Ahhhh, we thought there was a bit of a glitch in the Matrix for a while - we thought we'd seen this video before - but I didn't remember seeing those new angles . . .

Splendid little cruiser. There are heaps of different trailer sailers around the globe but I especially like this one. Wish I could get one of those here on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. There are endless places to explore along the west coast where I live & countless islands for overnight camping, anchoring or mooring. It would be a perfect day sailer, weekend island hopper or pocket cruiser for even longer voyages up & down the straights, inside passages & sounds. Nice video. Cheers from Canada.

Great boat for Australian waters. I would suggest some roach in the foot of the mainsail, which would be traditional and pleasing to the eys.

Awesome boat and looks to be so easy to setup by one person and single handed sailing!! Wondering if they will ever be available in the United States, I live in Maryland by the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River I think it’s the perfect boat for this area!! New subscriber!!

Thanks Tim! As it happens, we are sending a Cygnet to the USA for the first time this week! We are certainly hoping that we are able to get more boats over in the future.

Very nice set-up! Love the idea of a trailerable, rowable day sailer! If you have more to share, please do! How long is the actual setup time?
@bluewatercruisingyachts32834 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We will have much more to share this year, with many new boats being built and lots of sailing adventures planned. The actual set up time to have the boat ready to launch is only 10 to 15 mins. Once you are in the water another 5 to 10 mins to fill the water ballast tanks and you are ready to sail or motor away.

If you dont know how to sail is a trailer sailor the best boat to start with?
@alexanderklomp78202 жыл бұрын
@@craigbeere2405 Any boat you get excited about is the best boat to start with! Trailer Sailers require effort to set up, so if you have zero experience, I'd probably not recommend one first up unless you have a friend who can help you learn all the bits and pieces. I'd recommend a small sailing dinghy to start off with - you'll get a bit wetter but faster to set up and pack up. (It may well still qualify as a 'trailer sailer' to some depending on size). Go for Fibreglass - avoid wood (as cute as they look), and probably one sail only (aka mainsail, if you're sailing by yourself most of the time).

Does she have different rigs for different conditions or is she just a single rigger?
@bluewatercruisingyachts32834 жыл бұрын
Just one rig, however there are two reefs in the main sail and the jib is on a furler so the sail area can be reduced very easily in heavier weather.

Are those fenders big enough?

These fenders have been working well for us since 2018. No worries so far..
