Always enjoy the Ruff Road dance party music! 🎶 So much to do and see at the GC, I totally get why you need a week there. The views were magical!! You two are a great team when it comes to activities... Definitely fun to be had by hikers and non-hikers alike. 👍 Loved the Elk and so good to have those buses! Happy Trails! 🌄🏜🌌

Thanks... great overview. You covered the South Rim environment and experience very well. You will enjoy the North Rim. It is totally different and far less crowded. In my twenties, friends and I hiked from the South Rim (Bright Angel) down 7000 feet, across the Canyon 50 miles (as you don't walk a straight line), and up 9000 feet to the North Rim Lodge for a night. And then back. It takes a week and you have to take everything in and out. You can get get a meal or snacks at the Phantom Ranch on the Colorado at the bottom and of course at the North Rim Lodge.

Oh, that sounds fun. I never really thought about hiking all the way down until I got there. That would be an amazing trip! Thanks for sharing. Love it! 😊👋

I’ve noticed you guys setup a pet pen sometimes. Did you set one up here at the park? We noticed that some parks don’t allow pens. One of pups will not go on a walk he has to be in his yard even it’s a pen we setup from him. Keep up the good job with you CG drive through. Your our go to check out cg’s Thank you!

We usually do set up the pen if it's allowed. We didn't set up a pen at this park because we were on the go and our dogs go nuts around wildlife. Elk and deer walked through all the time. 😆 I couldn't find anything that said they are not allowed there. It's true, some private parks will allow pens and others will not. We always ask just to make sure. Usually they don't like pens set up on grass but gravel is ok. State parks and Army Corp parks are no problem, at least so far in our travels. Thanks for the comment. We enjoy making these videos and always happy to hear they are helpful. Happy travels! 😊👋

Thank you for all your information. We are planning our first long RV trip and going to the Grand Canyon along the way. This sounds like the perfect place to stay for us (full hook-ups ;). Our two pups come with us. Just wondering did you leave your dogs at home in the RV while you did most of your touring around, Grand Canyon, etc? Thank you again. Safe travels!
@ruffroadrvlife Жыл бұрын
Oh, it's perfect! You will love it. We did leave our pups in the RV while we were exploring. We made sure all of the curtains and blinds were closed because the elk were everywhere and our dogs wanted one! 😆 We have a security camera, so we can keep an eye on them while we are away, but they just sleep when we aren't home. We time our exploring between dog walks and that works out for us. The trails there are dog friendly, too. Happy travels! 😊👋

@@ruffroadrvlife Thank you for your helpful response. Great idea about the camera 👍🏼. I have a doggie camera at home that I will bring along. I will definitely look out for those elk since my dogs would love to catch one as well.

Love this video. Good info. We will be staying their too in a few weeks. Where was the best town to fill up on gas with an RV before entering the park?

Thank you! We were coming from Tuba City so we bought fuel at Tuuvi Travel Center. It was easy to get our rig in and reasonably priced. We actually purchased fuel twice there during our travels in the area. Have a great time on your trip! Happy camping! 😊👋
