Whoever puts this on is amazing. Way more people then I would want to be around wheeling but the event organization looks second to none. Thanks for the great video.

They did a great job, the trail flowed very smoothly and the food was amazing. You will find us going back every year .

Another additional note, it is fun to run Rubicon East to West, we ran it in 2018 from Tahoma to Georgetown on a series of weekdays with no one around. We are retired so that made that easy. Very peaceful and quite.
@Trailsoffroad2 жыл бұрын
Totally believe it. Our plan next time is to run to Rubicon Springs for the west, then turn around and head back out the same way.

The backwards, Rubicon! Used to do that in the 70s 80s and 90s. It’s all worth the trip. Such a blast!

That was an awesome video. Some parts of it looks scary where you would damage your vehicle. The scenery was nice too.

For sure, it isn't an easy trail by any means.

Outstanding vid! You did a great job showing everything, and answered most of my questions. I noticed you carried a few extra gallons of gas. Did you need any of it? Im planning on doing that trail next year so getting prepped now.
@TrailsoffroadАй бұрын
We didn't need the extra fuel. But i often take enough fuel if it is was needed and I got to the other gate and it was closed and I had to return all the way back out the way I came in. So in this case, the trail is about long enough if you ran it end to end both ways you might need fuel.

That drop never looks good on camera. But at the same time you are so tired by that point you don't get out to get the shot hahahahha. What time did you start the trail? Did you see yoru camp in the video? I tried to get a bunch of the campsites in the video. Tag the time if we did. We would love to see it. Thank you for watching.

I have been wheeling El Dorado NF for 40 years and would like to say there is no better way to "air up" than using a CO2 tank. I used to use a compressor but that takes a long time. With CO2 I am aired up from 18 psi to 45 psi on 33's in 30 seconds per tire.
@Trailsoffroad2 жыл бұрын
Those are nice. We wheel with a few people that have dual, dual arb's and that is pretty efficient.

Great video . I have had my 2003 Jeep Rubicon TJ a.k.a Aces Bode's Bombider up hells revenge Moab and that was my hardest to date. But always have wanted to trail the Rubicon in Bode.Is it really harder the Hells revenge?
@Trailsoffroad2 жыл бұрын
Simple answer, Yes. The Rubicon is a pretty technical trail with many rock crawling obstacles that often have soft dirt or sand on them making it rather difficult. A majority of the hard obstacles were in part 1. If you are comfortable with Hells Gate, even though this is different type of wheeling. But if you are comfortable, that meaning knowing tire placement, you will probably be able to do the Rubicon. Now there is some other factors like breakover angles, large rocks, and waterfalls. But go with a group of friend, have a winch, takes some floaties for the creek, and have fun.
@JeepAdventures3 жыл бұрын
At what level of driver and vehicle would you recommend?
@Trailsoffroad3 жыл бұрын
The Rubicon is unique as there is bypasses around the major obstacles. we have taken open / open vehicles through the trail. It does make it a lot easier to have lockers.

When is the best time to go do this trail? It's about a 2k milie (one way) trip for me and I it would suck to get there and be the wrong time.
@Trailsoffroad Жыл бұрын
Usually Jun to Sept, but this year has been pretty snowy so later the better probably. But watch out for the Jeep Jamboree as they reserve the trail in Late July early Aug.

If one had a small group, 1 to 2 Jeeps, about how long would it take to do the Rubicon?
@Trailsoffroad2 жыл бұрын
It is a depend answer. Do you go slow, BSing, need spotting, or are you all able to drive hard trails without help. A fast group could likely do the trail in a day, while a slow group would be 2 days.

Very cool...on my bucket list...saving for my Rubicon. One observation...I see a lot of kids running around. I thought "Jeepers" Jamboree was for Adults?(16 and over) and that "Jeep" Jamboree for the whole family? (Just an observation...because two of my kids are under 16...I didn't think they'd be able to come)
@Trailsoffroad3 жыл бұрын
This was the Jeep Jamboree event. Jeepers is the ones that put it together. So it is the Jeep Jamboree hosted by Jeepers Jamboree, if that makes sense?
@cradb12482 жыл бұрын
You don’t see many jeeps with RTTs ..
@Trailsoffroad2 жыл бұрын
The more you go towards rock crawling, the more you want your center of gravity low. You will find more people that would rather have tent they have to put up vs having weight up high.
@cradb12482 жыл бұрын
Kinda thought that but figured you could confirm .. thanks and I look forward to seeing you videos 👍🏼
