there's also a little known "trick" you can do with the doors on the following units: class 345 (tfl rail, now elizabeth line) class 710 (london overground watford dc, gospel oak to barking riverside, romford to upminster and lea valley lines) class 720 (greater anglia) the doors auto close after 15 seconds. hold the open button for up to 5 seconds and the doors won't close until the driver closes all doors. the close button on the 710s is useless. be careful if you do this on the 720s as doing so will likely alert the driver

Their metro looks good. I'm surprised to see that you actually need to press the button to open the door. Thought that would be all automatic.

It can be automatic, Desiros in Thailand also have the buttons but still open automatically, the reason behind it is probably AC lost and windy atmosphere

German Korb on the tube it is automatic however on trains you have to press the button, there’s some stations where the doors open automatically though for example st pancras intl I hope that helps :)

in perth its a waste of time cause people may not be getting on through that door plus if its cold and noones entering who wants all the cold air getting in

Arav Royaleist i just listened to 321s doors and if you’re talking about the refurbished ones they sound the same as class 465 0/1/9 and same as class 700
