This sh*t is REAL! David does not pull any punches- and neither should you- ever. Mad respect for his supremely sensible, straightforward and authentic manner of teaching. Best training, most usable content I have witnessed anywhere.

I mostly liked that Professor David makes it absolutely clear that you have to be willing to do some "dirty" moves. I really need to get that in my head. street self defense just ain't fair; your life is literally on the line

Always highly educational, raw and invaluable advice, but the contrast between The Professor's raging intensity and Kenny's total coolness, even when getting assaulted, is in itself, seriously entertaining.

I have watched your videos for the last year or more and I love what you say and do. Like you said in your last video I need to train with a real person to get my license, weapon and passport. I am a old black man and I have to learn how to protect myself. Because in this world today the young people don’t respect us old people. I have always wanted to learn how to protect myself and my family and now is the time not tomorrow. I love the way you guys teach me how to protect myself. Thank you very much and have a blessed day. Marvin

Make your aggressor regret that you were their intended target. Weakness or the appearance thereof, only invites aggression. Live with intensity. Love with intensity. Train with intensity. Defend with intensity. Be meaner than evil.

I used to teach self-defense back in the 80's. I definitely train differently now because times have changed. I've been training since 1971. Much love and respect to Professor David and Shihan Kenny.

Your absolutely right Professor James. unfortunately, theirs not enough time in class to show self-defense techniques. That's why we follow you, so intently, cause you extract the traditional moves, and you insert them in a way that is practical self-defense.

You are absolutely correct, i train hard in the martial arts, I've been training in Tang Soo Do all my life, im 62 years old, but the difference between real life combat and rule based training is chalk and cheese, if you're not breaking sweat your not training hard enough and not conditioning your body to take pain.

At 55 years of age And five foot four 56kg with 2 bad hips. I can’t run I can’t do flashy kicks and can’t generate much power so when you say what are we training for. It’s just to survive, to live another day. So your wise words on eye attacks and airway attacks are precious advice

Serious question, I read a lot of the coments on your channel. Who is so narrow minded and down right stupid to say you dont know what your talking about? My gadfather competed in karate back in the 70s. He did well in competition and his school was difficult. They trained to compete. He also practiced self defence. When i was a kid (10yrs old or so) I remember thinking he was invincable, like an action movie hero or something. He told me he does karate because he love competing, but on the street or at work (he was a police officer) he uses self defence techiques that you just cant use in competition. As he aged he stopped competing and just focused on self defense, even studying cane techniques when his hips started going later in life. To the best ofnmy knowledge he never was in a self defense situation off duty, but he has his insurance well into his 80s.

I have a question that's been on my mind for a while now. Who and where did Professor Vee learn from/at? And how am I training? I'm training to do the most dirtiest and ruthless tactics inside and outside of the box, that's a fact!
