For all those who are saying 'this train requires more halts', well I'd like to tell that each train has it's own priorities and value. Just like when VNBD came to Kerala, the *Keralites* started arguing for adding more and more stops to the train, which will make the train feel less premium, get low priority and it won't be fulfilling it's intention. Just like that, the Antyodaya Express is an express train with second sitting coaches, which is used to connect two ends in the fastest way possible. So it's better how it's currently going on and not adding any other halts in the midway and make this *'express'* train into an *'ordinary passenger train'* Also, this is my opinion and others may have variable opinion.

That's perhaps due to the lack of understanding of the population density of the state. Every state has its unique nature, and Kerala has its own - Kerala has densely populated towns that are close to each other. If you look at Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore-Tiruppur-Erode-Salem-Katpadi-Chennai would suffice as stops for a train - there are practically no major cities/towns in between. Consider a similar distance in Kerala, Trivandrum-Varkala-Kollam-Kayamkulam-Chengannur-Tiruvalla-Changanassery-Kottayam-Ernakulam-Aluva-Thrissur-Shoranur-Tirur-Kozhikode-Vadakara-Thalassery-Kannur-Payyannur-Kanhangad-Kasaragod would be required - all of these are populous towns. So, every state has its demographic parameters, and there is no one-size-fits-all formula.

@@Platform7byBinaiSankar True. but the problem is that the train will loose is it's priority and railways SHOULD start more passenger train serveices just like MEMU or shuttle services to reduce the crowd as Kerala is facing a big problem due to the current population and the amount of people who are using trains as their daily means of transport

Adding any further trains is easier said than done. Optimization of existing services is much needed than thinking of new services.

@@Platform7byBinaiSankarYea, that's right... I've said these things because of the crowd we are facing in the trains. Less the stops, less the crowd and so that we can comfortably do the journey without being disturbed or interrupted of the crowd. And for the other stations, the railways can start new services for that. Also, I don't mean to or want to spread any negativity and wanted to share my opinion with you. I hope you understand that I was just sharing my experience in these trains nowadays. 🙂

All trains have buffer/slack time before the destination station to make good any delays on the way. On this day, the train was not detained anywhere between KGQ And MAJN, and hence it could arrive early at MAJN.

There a proposal to relocate the 16355/Kochuveli - Mangaluru Jn. Antyodaya Express from Mangaluru junction to mangalore central after the introduction of paltform 4 and 5

Bro such halts will ruin its reputation in my perspective... let's take the example of trains from kerala towards delhi most of them skip stations like ratlam surat mathura despite of the fact that they are important stations .. so just think it that way... myself a resident of pay wants a stop for antyodaya at pay but that will ruin its specialty...
