That’s is the lastest DMU train (Class S14) of Sri Lankan Railways. It was added to Sri Lankan Railways recently. Considered one of the most comfortable and technologyically advanced train sets (DMU’s) in Sri Lanka.

We didn’t enjoy the train ride. Tried to book tickets in advance but last minute they cancelled us. Once we got on the train all these instagrammers wannabe fights for the space near the door so they can do that cliche pose. But Sri Lanka is an amazing country and will definitely go back but will give the train a miss.

Thank you, I will! The one thing I wish Sri Lanka's police or government would change is the crazy buses. It's really dangerous and not good for tourism or health.

@@JohnnyFD absolutely. They are competing with each other for passengers and finish the routes. Gone out of control. Powerful unions behind private busses and hold passengers for ransom when government tries to bring in policies with boycotts

It really is one of the only things that really makes me not want to come back to Sri Lanka or stay longer as a tourist, the dangers and stresses of the buses, even when i'm just walking across the street, but especially when I'm driving or in a car, taxi, or tuk-tuk.
