I can explain how the safety systems work. The numbers in the column on the left are SIGNAL speeds controlled by ATC. The segmented display on the right is TRACK speed, ACSES. Always follow the lowest of the 2. The ACSES speed will update when the train reaches the speed change, the HUD will update when the rear of the train has cleared the section of track with the lower speed. In terminal areas and sidings, there are usually no ACSES readings, and ATC will be 15, that's where you have to follow the track speed from the HUD. If the ATC or ACSES indication drops, then you need to brake until the "ATC Forestall" light comes on on the right hand screen, then press acknowledge. Horns for crossings: 2 long, 1 short, 1 long, where the last long is as you are going over the crossing.

Always have headlights on bright… no matter the TOD. Additionally, there is NO reason to have the desk light brightness on during the day time; Turning this function off increases frame rate and game smoothness by just a tad bit to make it bearable. The ONLY time you dim the headlights are departing/approaching penn station until you make it to the East River Tunnels and approaching a train during the nightly hours.

You must always obey the lower of the two speeds. You also need to learn what the signs are showing. 52:10 : Proceed approaching the next signal prepared to stop, reduce to that speed 15 .

Might have to get this later, not long bought the Fife Circle Line, it's been an expensive month lol !! Playing TSW 4 in VR with the Metaquest 3 is a game changer, using the UEVR injector, completely immersive. Cheers for this video, enjoyed it. Daz, Leicester.

If you are a PC player, i would recommend Fife Circle now with the Enhancement Pack available from Train Sim Community. Plus the new timetable for it. However this hobby can be expensive as you say :P

TSW4 stuttering / hitching whatever DTG like to claim it as is getting a bit worrying. TSW3 had no where near as much of an issue in this department. I have no god mode on etc either.
