TSW East Coastway is a very short route, which is a shame but the quality of the route and the improvements to audio and the surrounding environment is worthy of note.

The price structure for tsw is ridiculous, all loco add ons are £11.99 even if they only have one loco or if they have more and the routes are the same price for different lengths, it truly is disgusting dtg just care about excessive profits and it would appear they don't care about the community very much

Getting them on sale like during the Winter Sale right now is the only time I purchase really. Cant justify the price otherwise.

Like the style of this video - to add to this theme you may want to add a score system against standard measures (you would decide your categories in advance) which your viewer will come to know as your standard and it would provide a kinda consistent and deliberate approach across all of these reviews. The Great Western mainline route has still got problems. Issues that's when you use the class 66 and switching side's the trains brakes don't charge so you got to restart the level to get it to work.

Nice review, makes me glad I didn't rush in and buy it just because everyone was shouting about the head sway. My understanding is that the short routes are almost entirely due to them having to work on consoles, though I'm open to correction on that. People (like me) who only normally buy TS and TSW addons in sales need to be watching the Dovetail website as well as Steam, DTG want people to buy direct from them so Steam doesn't keep a large share of the purchase price and to encourage this they have almost permanent sales. When you buy from them you're buying a Steam key which you activate with your Steam client and it all works exactly as if you'd bought it on Steam so you don't have to worry about how to install things.

They make the route small so you pay more and doesn't seem they have a big team working on this game. DLCs cost too much and the community needs to address this.

I keep looking at this but it does look short. The line from Hastings to Ashford is not electrified so they would need to create the class 171 turbo stars if not available already to run it plus all the extra work creating the line. They always seem to avoid Ashford on these sims though which annoys me as I live there.

I couldn't agree more with the extensions. In the fourms, people are asking for an extension for routes. I recently got this route but got it for a sale. I just don't think it's worth $30. It's simply far too short. Dovetail needs to extend routes

I like this route ,bought the collectors edition when it was just 33 quid, on discount. I would be more satisfied if I could go to Ashford though, or maybe ore.

@@SimUKReviews depends. If the 170s to Ashford and the 313s were added, I'd pay £15-£20. If just up to Hastings or ore was added I'd pay 10 quid. That's another thing they could do, add the turbos that run to Ashford and the 313s that run to Seaford.

The route shortness really is a killer with this one, otherwise I actually quite like it and makes me want to drive in TSW. I also get a feeling these DLC's really are aimed at the casual console rather than the simulation player when we don't have AWS, DSD or any safety systems featured in the tutorials or train setup requirements, just wouldn't happen in real life and even TS2020 has this enabled. Is the shortness another victim of the console port? Or is it just a case of, get it out, make some cash and move onto the next one.

I amazed at some had to com you this dlc and the price is not expensive it cost me 140 rand which is nothing in South Africa for the detail in the dlc , yes it's short we all know that but the price I can't complain about it

PS4 and Xbox support is welcome yes but those two platforms aren’t for simulation. Building a PC is much more rewarding, than forking out hundreds for a console and paying £40 a title that once complete ends up at CEX for twice as much. I have this DLC but I prefer OMSI until even Fernbus fixes up
