Love the video. Love an 86. my local station used to be Berskwell (WCML) so often saw these flying through. Can they be used in Push / Pull ? I used to like bashing the inbetween Brum & Cov & would bash in the last coash just to hear the hum from the loco shoving the train. Happy Days.

They can be used push-pull only the Intercity Sector 86s have TDM equipment. Mainly used DBSOs but have worked with Mk3 DVTs on the WCML.

Hi Tom, great video. This loco is really immersive. I'm still trying to get comfortable with it and find I don't get as much time to use the outside views as I do with other locos, especially with the neutral sections on Shap. One thing I've found and heard (not sure if it is the correct way to do things) is that for large changes in power you can use the run up (100%) and run down (20%) until it gets close to the power setting you want, then you put it in hold (60%) and fine adjust using the tap changer. Someone also mentioned that you should run down (20%) until the needle on the setting gauge reads zero before removing power completely. Not sure how much of that is correct, but it does seem to work well over Shap, especially when hitting neutral zones. At the moment when I see the neutral zone warning I run down (20%) and then just before the white marker remove power (0%). This is a very complicated beast, but a lot of fun LOL. Please let me know if any of the above is actually correct because you know what it is like on the internet; everyone is an expert ;)

@@TrainSim_TV One quick question as I now want to try this scenario; which assets from North Wales Coastal Extension are required as I can't get hold of that pack anymore? I have the first version, but not the Holyhead extension. Thanks,Tom. :)

I see we've both done the same scenario straight away.

This scenario was one i had created last year for the route release using the original pack. Just a quick clone and we were cooking on gas :D

@@TrainSim_TV ah right, I created this scenario when I found out they were doing the 86 and knew I had to do this scenario straight away. Hows the Cumbrian Coast line coming along? I was making it last year but ran into a few problems with missing track etc.

I wish armstrong powerhouse can make a class 421/422/423 emu enhancement pack too but this class 86/87 enhancement pack is good.

I've noticed you've got the WCRC logo on Armstrong Powerhouses MK1's, I'm guessing they have been reskinned?
@Robbo_134 жыл бұрын
They are by Armstrong Powerhouse. They are the Mk1 pack.
@WestCoastRailwayBoy4 жыл бұрын
@@Robbo_13 I know Armstrong Powerhouse made the West Coast livery but they don't include the companies logo on it, unless it's something you can load during scenario editor (but theres no mention of that in the manual) which is why I asked whether they had been reskinned
@Robbo_134 жыл бұрын
@@WestCoastRailwayBoy you have to download the branding patch as well. That way you will have the logos on the side.
