Train Simulator 2021 | WCML "Missing Link" Phase 3 | Preston - Birmingham | Class 390 Pendolino

Hello there guys and welcome to another Train Simulator 2021 video!
As promised today we're driving a Class 390 "Pendolino" service along the recently released Alan Thomson Sim "Missing Link" route between Preston and Birmingham New Street. I'm not honestly sure if this is an Avanti or a Virgin service looking on the outside of the train, probably Avanti as all the station signage is Avanti-esque.
Anyway it's a clear run all the way down, calling at Wigan North Western, Warrington Bank Quay, Crewe, Wolverhampton, Sandwell & Dudley and Birmingham New St. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Bostin video once again! Will wave to you as you drive by. I agree with you - Sandwell and Dudley is a nonsense name (it's actually named after two boroughs, which tells you nothing about where it is!) The station used to be called Oldbury and is not far from West Bromwich either, so it could be more honestly named, and I think should be. Also, with the old South Staffs line under Dudley Port being turned into a tram line, that station will soon become an important interchange for Dudley proper, a big old town in its own right. There'll be a few headaches about the best place for operators to stop, to best serve to Black Country!

All change ey Paul? Seems a shame for a main rail line to be converted into a tram line, the metro link took over Oldham lines years ago and it’d have been brilliant today still being railway lines

@@JoeDobsongaming Yep, there's been a never ending battle over that, but the metro won out in the end. The South Staffs line went from Lichfield via Walsall and Dudley, ending up at Stourbridge Junction (from memory). Would have been a great route to avoid Brum. Wolverhampton Low Level (GWR), which was immediately to the left of the current station in your video, also had routes across the Black Country, but were all lost to the metro or closure. Sounds like a similar tale in Greater Manchester.

1:11:44 I'm from Wolverhampton and in parts it's nice whereas other parts are rough as hell. The city centre is a lot more run down than it used to be as well

Would be nice to do Liverpool Lime St to Euston in one go on a 390, a trip I’ve made many time with Virgin. Sadly, not yet available in Steam Train Sim.

Bit confusing have 3 trains known as the flying banana. A 1932 GWR railcar, the original HST livery. And the one you mentioned. .
