We leased some CN GP40-2W’s, around that time, as well. The 9407, 9600 & 9602 were leased during late winter/early spring, 1999. The 9602 is featured as the lead unit on 393, in your video here.

This is my favorite era of SLR ngl, before when G&W took over and can see all different types of power. I wish I could've seen those times..

I vacationed in Island pond every summers from 1991-2002. I remember CN power being the mainstay to at least 2000. Once in a while a yellow SLA would pop up.

The last month and year of my career at CN. After 23 years myself and around 2000 others became redundant in the Atlantic Region of CN.

This would’ve been more like around 1999. We didn’t acquire the M420W’s from CN until 1998 & took delivery of 10 of them later that year. The 3569 & 3562 were the first to be put into service, right before SLQ startup on Dec 1, 1998.
