Ledo is famous for coal and there was a road build by British to counter the attacks from Japanese troops and azad hind fauj from Myanmar during WW2 . Technically Lekhapani station was the last station in the easternmost end . Last train was passed here in 1993 and station was closed in aug '93 . May be due to less patron and high militarized border is near to this station. so ledo , which is located before this Lekhapani got the ident of the current easternmost terminal.

Lekhapani station is the name of the station you mentioned in this video...that station was closed to commercial traffic on 23 rd August 1993 and last train passed through that station on 17 th August 1993...It was good content .. you should have missed it..

Beautiful and picturesque journey. As you stand near the ledo station sign, it says MSL and that means you're 14417 metres above mean sea level. Please mention that in future videos when you see that. You're already in higher elevation than ooty and Valparai. So, tea always grows in higher elevation.

A small correction. Elevation should be 144.17 meters. (Refer wikipedia it is given as 150 meters.) Everest itself is 8848 meters. So ledo station can't be beyond everest peak as indicated in your comment.
