1) panchanga express is taken upto Madgaon for parking. I spotted in multiple days in August 2)Entire Konkan is electrified and declared open by the PM in June 2022. However, passenger trains are not operated with E loco as 3 substations in Goa are not ready. So as of now only freight trains get E loco. Bangalore Karwar day express also gets E loco between MAJN and Karwar

Konkan passenger train run by diesel because, konkan railways are testing eloco through goods this monsoon, 2passanger trains run by eloco , KR is discussing to give eloco by next month to all passenger trains ( KR depending on SR,CR,NR for loco's) Meanwhile you were talking about panchaganga, panchaganga never goes to manglore (it is bypassed manglore)so no loco change

Please do pin my comment if you like it Transit Bites: 9:08 As I understand, this train Panchaganga express does not stop in mangalore. It bypasses Mangalore Jn and Central. So there is no major place/junction to change locos. And anyway from bangalore to Bantwal (Last station closest to mangalore covered by this train) is diesel due to ghat section. Now that you brought this topic up, it is partly the reason why it's very difficult to operate trains from bangalore to mangalore due to the Ghat section b/w Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road as there is little scope to double the track let alone electrify it. If you ask me why not implement electric loco in Bantwal station then it's the same point as you kept suggesting in the video- Single line is difficult to manage. You showed Garib rath, Goods train waiting for panchaganga, now imagine one of those lines blocked for electric loco waiting for exchange. As you see it's not feasible practically and will delay trains further. But as I observed on a website called Indiarailinfo, they seem to rumor that Government is planning to electrify The Bangalore mangalore stretch via Sakleshpur. Mind you it's a rumor I'm not very sure. But should it be done? It would help economywise but would partly destroy the beauty of single railway track as you rightly said. On a total sidenote, I have never seen anyone as efficient ,economical and safe as railways. Before anyone points out a mistake, It's quite likely there is a good reason for everything.

Kokan railway is private operated section that's why It doesn't come under indian railway and as you said that roads travel are distance comparing to train distance covering that's why kokan railway operates roro service only can be seen in kokan road trucks upon freight trains

Last year,i was there in Karwar. My husband was in seabird project. Such a beautiful place and nice people. Peaceful life. Monsoon season is quite adventures in Hubli - Karwar road. Full greenary, waterfalls, river crossing. Nearly 2-3 hours journey in forest. 😘. Thanks for covering Karwar. Brought back memories.
