Train With 24 Wheel Freight Car! Scale Test Car Pieces On Train & Indiana & Ohio Ry Gets Big Power!

Norfolk Southern Train With DPU, Gigantic Heavy Duty Car, Scale Test Car On Train & DPU Working Hard. Indiana And Ohio Railway Obtains Big BNSF Power That Pulls A Train By Itself. CSX Intermodal Train, NS Drops The Signal & More Trains In Spring Grove Village, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Watch trains crossing over the bridge over Mill Creek and more trains with DPUs. Check out this Norfolk Southern train carrying a steel coils car and a scale test car in pieces on flat cars. Have you ever seen that before? By the way, a scale test car is a small railroad car that calibrates the scales used to weigh loaded railroad cars. The car's weight is known and carefully maintained so that it can be used as a standard to calibrate the track scale. They are rare to catch. I caught one on a street running train in Warsaw, Indiana in the fall.
We also see the Norfolk Southern train with a hard working DPU on the rear followed by a heavy duty depressed center flat car with 12 axles and 24 wheels. That car can carry some cargo.
We also see an Indiana & Ohio Railway train with one of their recently obtained C449W locomotives that is still in BNSF livery. This is a powerful locomotive built in 1999 and is easily pulling this train by itself. The engineer gave me a wave.
We also see a CSX intermodal train, we see a signal dropped as the train passes and we take a close look at the dump site that is growing at a popular Railfan location. This video is filmed at two locations in Spring Grove Village ( Winton Place ), Cincinnati, Ohio. This location is just a few miles north of Cincinnati Union Terminal.

When I worked for the health department I used to investigate open dumping and I would contact the people whose trash it was. Thanks for the Super Thanks! Hey JT, you said that you would love to ride up in the cab of one of those locomotives well I get to at least once a month or anytime I want to because I give all the conductors rides and my little town where I live they’ll call me all times of the night especially if it’s raining because we don’t have electric switches on the sidetrack in my town. We have spring switches, but when they go into the siding, the conductor has to get out and align it into the siding and then he has to line it back to the main so then he hast to walk that whole train to get back to the head in so for me doing that, I get to take a cab ride When I want to and let me tell you what it is awesome but anyway another awesome video my friend and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one

Yes, that is a rough area. Thanks for watching! There was a great mixed freight that pulled up and stopped. I filmed it come in but then it sat so long that it started getting dark. I had to leave due to the safety issue. The Krogers nearby has been on the news several times for bad things. One good thing though is that while I was there the police came up and sat for nearly half an hour. Kept the rift raft back lol

That one northbound Norfolk Southern train that had the disabled scale car on a flat car and 12-axle heavy duty depressed center flat car attached behind the end of train DPU. This depressed center flat car is the largest heavy duty depressed center flat car that I remember seeing in one of your videos. (Posted on 3 January 2025 at 1808 CST.)

That was some pretty cool mixed manifests, and I was surprised at the number of DPU's also. Obviously a pretty good area to railfan. It's been a while since you've been there.
