Watching this video second time, want to share something. 67 days ago, I started waking up at 4 AM to work uninterrupted until 9 AM, followed by walking my cat and doing my morning routine. I focus again from 2 to 7 PM, then end the day with chores and sleep by 9 PM. This routine has been challenging but life-changing. As someone with ADHD, I can focus better when the world is quiet. Since January 2024, I’ve been building my brand, aiming to launch on January 1, 2025. It’s nerve-wracking but fulfilling. As an introvert who often starts but rarely finishes projects, this feels monumental. Sales are secondary-I’ve rediscovered myself and connected deeply with existentialism through this journey.

Cleaning is what helped me start making changes. After a week of keeping my room clean and tidy I got used to it. It took one problem out of my mind, I saw another problem, and then I solved that one, and then another, and another, and so on. Also, a clean room gives me a little bit of pride and serves as a kind of momentum that pushes me to make good changes. And this led me to the fact that I am currently learning JavaScript

This is how I dealt with anxiety and depression. Every day I stepped out of my comfort zone. I like to stay at home, but last year I decided that walking would become my long-term hobby. Every day I walked regardless of weather, first for 3 minutes, then 5, then 30, etc. After a couple months it changed a lot of things in my life, I was happier than ever.

I'm an artist and sufered for a long time with not drawing consistenly, always waiting for that motivation, but what is helping me getting to drawing more and more is just leaving the sketchbook with a pen or pencil open on my work desk and never closing it! So if I'm up to it I'm sketching, if i'm bored, I'm sketching, if i'm talking to someone on the phone I'm sketching, if i'm on a break from work or study, I'm sketching it is helping me so much! Other thing I do is putting my phone on the other side of the house on silence mode when I need to focus

To be a bit nerdy about it, this has a lot to do with myelin. It’s what powers neural plasticity. Essentially every action you take, no matter how small, increases the fatty sheath that insulates nerve cells. aka it wraps the nerve so it’s easier to do it again and the more you do the easier it gets because it’s getting tuned more each time. The book ‘The Talent Code’ describes it very well if you want to learn about it. Your channel is awesome btw
@larks...3297Ай бұрын
This is sooo nerdy
@maferopaАй бұрын
that's interesting, is it because it makes it easier/faster for the neurotransmitters to pass through the cell? do you know if, say, you eat a good amount of "healthy" fats everyday, would help increasing the myelin sheath?
@AutodidactingАй бұрын
@@maferopa i looked it up on claude ai and it said "it's actually not about neurotransmitters, but rather about electrical signals. The myelin sheath acts like insulation around nerve fibers (axons), allowing electrical impulses to travel much faster through a process called "saltatory conduction." Think of it like the insulation around an electrical wire...Yes, dietary fats are indeed important for myelin formation and maintenance! The myelin sheath is about 70% fat by weight. Specifically, omega-3 fatty acids (especially DHA), found in foods like:Fatty fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines), Walnuts, Flaxseeds"
@maferopaАй бұрын
@@Autodidacting I highly recommend you to not use AI for research, or at least ask them the original source... the thing is, those electrical signals that go through the axion are then converted into chemical signals through the release of neurotransmitters. They're pretty much the same thing, at least for the purpose of our discussion. But yeah, I'm guessing having lots of fats in our diets could be key for myelin "maintenance", perhaps even helping with Dementia/Alzheimer (can't remember which one) prevention, since it's directly related to the lack of myelin production. Cool stuff

I realized this now that you've mentioned it; I used to drink everything but water, and realized the only way to switch things up is not through willpower, but by cutting out all unhealthy drinks, and having 8x 500ml water bottles I fill up daily, sometimes every other day. And little that I knew, all I ever want now is water. Especially with electrolytes like Trace Minerals 40,000 volts, I'm literally addicted to it. Way better than anything else. I would sip a juice or soda sporadically, and just hate its sweetness. No more drinks. Now, I need to work on NOT relapsing on bad carbs, so I told myself once they're done, we're DONE. No more! At least until I hit my desired weight. I mean, if I can quit smoking and drinking sweet stuff, I can quit unhealthy foods. Just hard when bored, or not being productive enough and tired. Need to work on that. Need to make a game plan and work towards it.. wish me luck? 🙏 hope whoever reads this transforms their lives 🙏 you definitely got this 💪💪

Everything you think about what you eat, everything you see is stored in your insensitivity. You have to be careful with your actions and thoughts. Basically, it's your will-action-habit-personality-fate. Your schema makes up most of your fate. If you want to change your mindset, change your body and behavior. We choose the truth that fits our emotions. And all human individuality is a relativistic truth. Ignore those who ignore your changes even if you don't see any realistic changes, and you'll get there. It's very profound, like the video. The shape and duration of our moving muscles are the same. It's very important when you consider that intelligence develops through movement. If you can't control all of your emotional responses to stress objects, not just your muscles, you're dominated by the environment instead of creating the environment. Because your body is "optimized." What you use only leaves traces if you don't use energy. When you look at lemons and drool, the size of your brain is also constrained by behavior. You shouldn't run into walls. Also, even your principles of things conditionally govern your thinking. The collectivist state was rice farming, which imprinted genes on the flow of energy and the principle of food on our bodies. And I think that's how everything works. Some people feel their legs shaking when they climb high. If you want to change your mindset, change your body. Of course, it's even better if you do it in parallel. Also, it's better to know how. If you want to change your destiny, build your own body that fits your destiny. Of course, if your frontal lobe is healthy, your body is not absolute, but both are important. Anyway, make a habit, and when you become yourself, you find a way. It's like a herbivore looking for lots of places to graze, or a human being modifying the environment to suit you. Depending on your body, your thinking also activates the relevant neuron according to your thinking, which is the minimum condition to lead you to the path you want. This is a way to control your luck. Opportunities belong to the prepared. It's possible to reverse aging if you know the principles. It's an extension of the placebo.

I'd experienced game addiction, doomscrolling. Those were always killing my time and sabotage my goals, without me noticing. Best way to get rids of Distractions neither building yourself an immune shield(strengthening discipline, focus) or reducing them like delete the apps and make them harder to achieve/do. This is very similar to the concept of the inner-evaluator. It's constantly watching you, looking out for your virtues. When you prove to your inner-evaluator through action that you have some virtue, like persistance, generocity, etc, and this is something *admirable,* you feel more satisfied.

Seems like a great channel. What can I also say is to write down what and how you will do and spen your day night before. This for some reason WORKS really well because you decide and set new instruction for your body and mind to then follow through by consciousness and choice not feelings of the body and how you have used to do things and even be. Creating identity that supports all those actions and goals is also very important.

Woo great video to put right before new years. New brain activity, new you. consistency really is da bomb. i used to do the 180 change overnight thing and would end up panicking that im not doing enough and then biting off more than i can chew which will end me in a burnout, all the tiimee. and the burnout would last for months or yearrs crazy. its been like 6 years of that cycle on repeat tsk tsk (bruh i never learn). now im doing stuff in reaaalll reaally small doses. but ive been actually doing more because of it, even on days i dont really feel that well, which is most days. i havea really small habit list (like a shotglass worth)and i dont set a deadline for the habits (deadlines are a killer. man, i dislike the deadlines). maybe when i get even more consistent ill out the habits in a routine. but for now, it doesnt matter what time, as long as i just do it. 10 minute stretching as an excercise, 7 minutes of journaling, doesnt matter when i wake up, just make the bed after it. i started this mini habit list when i still had my bad habits. i decided ill just do my bad habit if the urge is too strong, as long as i finish the mini habit list i made, then ill cnsider it a successful day. and now im 2 weeks in, being consistent with my shotglass habits, and ive rarely been doing my bad habits. even if my habit list is extremely small, i feel more grounded and present in this reality than feeling like my head is floating around and foggy all the time. im adding the read 1 page a day to my habit list and adding running as an exercise option now. (i havent gone for a run yet. maybe i should sleep with my whole running fit on. outside. on the running route. actually ill buy a banana to eat in the morning instead. i might just wake up for the banana) im definitely gonna apply the managing activities depending on energy level thing when i start time blocking my google cal (i remember gettin really tired after studying and just thinking if im too dumb or what lol, but if getting tired is just part of the process, then good for me). i like having these type of videos play on the background when im doing chores. i get to focus my brain on listening to something useful so i dont get distracted in the middle of my chore. bonus is that your voice is very clear and nice to listen to. new brain activity, new me lesgoo. with my shotglass lesgooo
