Moon Yh, I truly agree, Minhyuk definitely brings a lot to the group now. At first I also thought he wasn't as strong in vocals, but he has definitely improved and is a great speaker for the group in variety shows.

Sorry but I disagree.. 😐 I love Minhyuk's husky voice. Like Kihyun's his voice is easy to recognise. It's just like Weeee!123 said, Starship didn't really give Minhyuk an opportunity to show his vocal range. I absolutely love his voice in Gone Bad and White Sugar even though he doesn't have many lines. I think his voice goes really well with R&B but MONSTA X doesn't have many songs in that genre.

This is a SURVIVAL show. Everyone had someone to compete with and the best one makes it. Jooheon was Guns competition because they were the most similar and unfortunately the best one made it. Monsta X is a great group now I'm sure Gun will be fine everyone gets rejected. REMEMBER show nu was rejected from Got 7. It's part of their life your time will come

Shownu wasn't rejected. He actually left the company. He was supposed to debut as the leader in Got7.

I think Shownu hates the idea of being a solo singer since he kind of used to train along with GOT7 members. #Gun doesn't belong in a boy group, where he only gets 3-4 lines and mediocre melodies and dancing. He deserves and would work better with a solo career, where he can write his lyrics wholeheartedly and not have to worry about sharing a song with other guys. Starship did him a favor.

***** Your acting like it was meant to be where Gunhee was suppose to debut in MonstaX. Look he lost the battle and life still move on. I believe that those 3 visual deserve to debut as much as Gunhee. Think it as if YG WIN show, WINNER won and those who lost was kept in for MIXMATCH. Who knows StarShip might held another show in the future. Or you can say MonstaX isn't for him. Hanhae didn't make it to BlockB but debut in Phantom. Mino didn't make it to BlockB but debut in WINNER. Doojoon didn't make it to JYP but later debut in B2ST, Hyunseung didn't make it to BigBang but deubt in BEAST.

Thoughts: Okay I'm bothered by how people are hating on the Visuals (Hyungwon, Wonho, and Minhyuk) for all making it into the team. Okay people they are called visuals because they are exceptionally good looking NOT because they are talentless and ONLY good looking. Did you hear Wonho's singing in Caffeine? Did you see how Wonho didn't sleep b/c he was editing the song into perfection and was complimented by the judges for its high quality? Did you see how he did a phenomenal job as the team's leader? Did you hear Hyunhwon singing No Diggity? Hyungwon dances well too and that's why he got the special dance part in Trespass choreography next to Shownu. And Minhyuk (who I love to death - only second to Shownu, my UB) may be weak in music (I don't think so, but many argue) but he is such a bright, bubbly, fun guy that he is going to great in variety shows - he is a fantastic entertainer (yes, they are singers but they are also entertainers, very important). So STOP HATING ON THE VISUALS. Also, people keep being so furious about # gun but I think it is pretty clear that as good as # gun is, he is way too similar to Jooheon and Jooheon is better (arguable, but Jooheon won against # gun every time) and I.M.'s very different but equally great rap voice brings the necessary diversity to Monsta X. Imagine having 2 rappers who sound the same in one group. Also, as awesome as # gun is, Monsta X is big on dancing and # gun cannot dance well. And my gosh y'all acting like # gun can't debut in another group or as a solo! Do you not know about Jang Hyun Seung who didn't make it into Big Bang (and dude we talkin' about the boss of KPOP, Big Bang) and he is doing amazingly in Beast now. Okay I'm done. I agree on your thoughts, especially #gun and jooheon. It was clear throughout every challenge that jooheon would debut. #gun's energy is way too similar to jooheon, though. The group needed a rapper that could bring his own fire but also balance jooheon out, and that rapper wasnt #gun, as much as I loved him throughout this show.

It can work if there's more than 2 rappers. For example, on some BTS songs Hobi and Suga can sound similar, but RM has a different style. If Starship wanted to they could've made MX an 8 member group with 3 rappers, or they could've put #Gun in but eliminated Minhyuk, Wonho, Hyungwon or Shownu (Kihyun has the best vocals so he was always gonna be in like Jooheon was always gonna be in.) But I agree about differences in rap style, when you look at different groups you can see it, one of the best examples and a group similar to Monsta X would be BAP. Yongguk and Zelo's flow balanced each other in the same way Joohoney and I.M do. For that reason, I'd love to see MX do a cover of a BAP song.

I see people saying that #Gun can't dance well. Guys are you serious? Did you saw BTS at least once? Did you know that Rap Monster can't dance too?! And is this a problem to them? NO. Saying that #Gun was eliminated because he "can't dance" is no excuse at all. Do I need to enumerate how many groups are VERY successful and have crappy dancers? And I don't think #Gun is that bad at dancing, for me he is just fine. #Gun should be in the final team just as all of the others. He deserves. And the group could even had 13 members, I don't care. I like him as well,sadly he was cut. Sure he will find an agency soon. For Monsta X, they can have 3 rappers if they want. I personally think that the rapper team of starship doesn't like #gun rap's style. I mean he is good but they criticized his rap as it is old style same as YG rappers did to Winner's Hoonie. And you can see how they YG artists favor doubleB more. It does not mean he is bad but just what they like and sure they always need visuals in idol group for making money as well in the future as actors. None of them are my biases but this performance is definitely the best one, then this is Kihyun x Wonho x Seokwon's performance and after this the performance which had won. I'm so mad at Starship rn, they kept all the visuals and eliminated a rapper for a hip-hop group, explain me please why tf did you do that ? THIS is exactly the reason I have a problem with all this! I'm glad someone else sees it! Every time I bring it up, people think I'm hating. Honestly, IM was brought to replace #Gun . They didn't want to debut him and used him to the end. Always complaining about him. 3 rappers is nothing in a hip hop group. Got7 has 5! #Gun was just thrown away like nothing and now people question his talent. He has NEVER had a bad stage. He is consistent if not better every challenge. He plays his part well, no mistakes. So how does an almost perfect person get eliminated? And the adding one rapper just to eliminate 2 right afterward, does that make any sense? They said it, IM must have been promised a debut if he joined at that stage. And why weren't the 3 rappers split evenly into all 3 groups? Since day 1, they paired IM with JooHeon to get more fans used to the idea of them as a combination and to start getting IM attention. After the success of #Gun and JooHeon in their duet, they were never put together again because if they were, that team would never lose. They made sure that #Gun would not be as successful. I'm sure Segyero winning was a shock. Even they thought they would lose for sure. A lot of things went into eliminating #Gun that I do not agree with because after seeing his skills from day 1, I knew he would be on the team. There is no reason for him not to be. His combination with the prized child JooHeon is EXCELLENT! You would think they want the strongest rappers together...

jooheon is a way much better than gun. idk if its just me but i don’t really think monsta x missed out from gun. jooheon and i.m are different while gun would compete with shownu and jooheon and get overshadowed. all members bring something to the table and besides, gun really isn’t that good to me. i started liking mx bc of the rap line since i’m a hip hop fan but gun isn’t anything special to me.

Now that I think of it, i prefer Jooheon and I.M as a combination rather than Jooheon and #GUN. (Im not saying that i dont love #GUN cos I DO) Its just that Jooheon and I.M sound so much better with their different voices (aka: the high & the low). If you think about it, Jooheon and #GUN's voices are about the same & wont rlly balance out the song. BUT i had high hopes that #GUN wouldve made it. Then again, would it really be necessary to have 3 rappers where he would probably have only 4 lines? Its just my opinion.

Okay, pls stop comparing. First of all, we only have two division in a group: a vocal line and rap line. raps in mx are equally distributed. It doesnt mean that it is a hiphop, they will just rap. of course, they still need to sing because its the main agenda. That is to make a song, and rap is only a genre. I think Starship eliminated #Gun, because his rap style is similar to Jooheon's and maybe they didn't want the rappers to have similar rapping styles so they got I.M instead because his style is different than Jooheon's. Plus, a lot of us know that #Gun does not belong to a boy group, he's better off as a solo rapper coz his rapping skills are dayummm and he's got potential. :)
