Perfect explanation and I hate that when us as referees when we try to communicate and explain the call in a civilized way and in a calm demeanor they (players) think they can just talk to you however they want. I’ve given more yellows for descent than what I have for fouls. That just shows you where the state of the sport is at. I was playing a match one day, and the defender was awful. He would keep fouling me the whole match. Eventually, I got so frustrated that I pushed him (very lightly) with my shoulder. Keep in mind the ref was also terrible, not calling any of the fouls. When he saw me do that, he instantly ran over to me and scolded me. Absolutely horrible refereeing.
