Damn I never knew Ulises has gone all the way up to 10,200 pounds ! I thought he capped out at 9,900. Even when Ulises and Ikaika are the same weight, I’d still say Ike is bigger just because Ulises is 21 feet long and Ike is 21.8 feet.

He is bigger.

He has fin flop due to not enough space they belong in the ocean not in tiny tanks it breaks my heart I thought they weren’t going to have captive orcas anymore it’s not right anymore heard of black fish it’s a sad story 🏴
@H2Omammals Жыл бұрын
Blackfish is a biased one sided story. SeaWorld isn’t breeding their killer whales anymore so someday (less than 50 years) there will be no orcas in the United States. However, there are several countries who still house and even capture them, so I’m not sure why you thought they weren’t in parks anymore.
@zoeilobowdery8778 Жыл бұрын
Just beacause they r not breeding them doesn’t make it right to hAve them in captivity and no black fish isn’t one sided it’s the truth these animals do not belong in captivity it’s harmful to there physical and mental well-being just beacause other countries still keep them in captivity does not make it right people are campaigning to out law this these mammals r designed to travel thousands of miles hunting in the wild ocean 🌊 not in a boring tiny tank 🏴

He literally has a collapsed dorsal fin due to no water pressure. In the wild, currents cause water pressure to hit either side of the fin keeping it up.p which doesn’t happen in captivity. This along with much more time at the surface and the dorsal fins of male orcas being larger and heavier than females causes it to collapse. Also FUCK BLACKFISH to the absolute core.

1. Ikaika's dorsal fin is flopped over due to lack of gravity support a male orca's dorsal fin is 6 feet tall on average being at the surface for prolonged periods of time causes the orca's dorsal fin collapse other factors include injury to the fin 2. Ikaika the orca in the video is a captive bred animal born on August 25th 2002 ( born to katina and tilikum) he been in captivity he entire life and has only ever known that being cared for by humans. Releasing him into the wild would only cause more harm then good plus it's very expensive to release one captive killer whale. Once these animals are accustomed to human contact it's very difficult for them to unlearn as that's all they know Do I think orca's should have ever been captured not at all but all but 3 killer whales in the US are captive bred.
